You bought the liby lib propaganda. I’d suggest reading the history of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
I lived through that period and recall meetings in 1963-4 at the University of California at Berkeley YAF (Young Americans for Freedom, a goldwaterite youth group) and one salient private discussion with one of the members who nattered on about the perils of “race miscegination”. C’mon, R.B., be honest with yourself, how many Republicans were on the ground registering black people in rural Mississippi while being harrassed by the Sheriff, the Klan & their supporters? How many conservatives marched with MLK?
This was a righteous struggle by any standard, yet it was accomplished by default by the “liby lib” end of the spectrum because the other end of the spectrum was a no show or obstructionist. My point being that there is NO MYSTERY why the MSM, music industry, Hollywood, etc., are controlled by closet marxists today. This constitutes a DEFEAT for conservatism any way you dice it and we can only blame ourselves for the sorry state of mass media today.

I don’t see you can make that claim when Republicans voted as a higher percentage for the 1964 Civil Rights Act than Democrats.
Sorry for the late response, I took a trip to Gettysburg, where not a few white Republicans died in part to end slavery.
But getting back to 64, the apex of the civil rights movement. Republicans favored the bill 138 to 34... Democrats supported it 152-96. GOP supported it as a higher percentage.

Thanks for the ping! Not sure that Hillary is a full blown Marxist like Obama but she is probably not far from it to be sure. Of course Obama has a way of making even Jimmy Carter look better....lol.

I personally think the reason most people do not think socialism (soft communism)is “really” bad...they do not have war or even peacetime pictures of that form of government. We have millions of pictures of Naziism on the war channel daily. During the cold war, we had many “newsmen” who travelled to the USSR and came back telling us of the wonderful things the Soviet Union was doing for “the little people”. Free education, free health care. Everyone was happy, according to the newspeople. They didn’t talk of the night calls to individual homes by the KGB. They didn’t tell us about the gulags and the treatment the prisoners were given. So there is a big disconnect between what we know of Nazi Germany and the countries of the USSR. I doubt even some of our elected youngsters have no idea of the Soviet Union’s treatment of their citizens.

Sure wish I had more information about the Dunham Trust or Rolla Payne Probate information. Had a thought that money could have been funneled through that trust....
