That’s the line dozens of local news anchors across the country read off their teleprompters recently, giving Conan O’Brien plenty of fodder for what has become a regular segment on his show–supercuts of TV anchors saying the exact same thing (video above).

This was done, quite well, by Conan O'Brien in a humorous vein. And while this is an example of a "feature" story being read the same way over and over again...I challenge anyone to deny that the POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC stories of the day aren't read the same exact way.

I wish newsbusters.org and/or some other media watchdog program on our side would employ the grass roots and create some "local" affiliates with bloggers to keep an eye on the bias that is SOOOO evident in local newscasts.
