I served on staff at a boy scout camp in the late seventies in California. Our self-appointed chaplain was a predator. He stood near the door in the showers and lifted boy’s towels with the end of his staff. He did not do this to me but I was bothered by it. Looking back I should have reported him.

The adults and scouts have separate showers now to protect both groups.

Scouting helps boys become responsible men. I am strongly opposed to openly gay scout leaders

Any adult that goes on a camping trip has to complete Youth Protection Training, and we all definitely lookout to make sure there are no one-on-one situations between an adult and a Scout.
