An elaborate and illegal camouflaged residence, outfitted with bunk beds and a barbecue patio, has been discovered near a Los Angeles County animal refuge.
Eight months ago, Robert Downs, 51, set up a small structure in the woods near the Tujunga Ponds Wildlife Sanctuary in Sunland, Calif. To hide his home from police, Downs, who was previously homeless, sprayed it with camouflage paint and cut down nearby trees, said Johnie Jones, a deputy in the Parks Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The question I am pondering is camouflage paint. Does it come in one can and paint all those colors?

Video shows the inside. At least the guy didn’t take over some poor home owner’s vacant house.

Downs stood a chance of evading major legal trouble for his hidden house, but sheriff's deputies also discovered that he cultivated
eight marijuana plants outside the structure, a felony because he did not have a
permit to do so, Jones said.
Buahahahahahahaha
Gimme a break 8 plants 4 people that might last them 2 months in the winter he sure wasnt growing it to sell or he would have had 80 plants

I think it’s more of a bruch technique; it can’t be hard to learn though, ‘cause pretty much EVERYTHING I paint comes out looking like that. :-)

To be real honest, and I used to live not too far from Tajunga, I’d look into graning him a homestead.

"Residence"?
Plywood hunting shack, camouflaged with tarps and stuck in the shade of a gnarly old tree. A few cobblestones out front to cut down on the mud. Big deal...
Probably did all cooking on the grill.
Been thinking of building something like that down back by the range, myself...
But, mine would include a reloading bench and windows that swing upward -- with one behind a shooting bench facing the backstop -- so I can crank a load and turn around and try it immediately...

Is Barbara Eden hiding in that bottle? I hope this one:

But this one is OK, too:

Some work done, but not bad for getting close to 80.

When digital cammo came out they made suuuuuch a big deal about how cool and great it was.
You know what? It sucks. It doesn’t work.
As we see here, a HOMELESS guy came up with a scheme that works better than our, “geniuses” best stuff.
And the USAF variant of this stuff is.....just pitiful.
Half of LA county is working for cash as invaders —they go ignored.
BUT THIS GUY? Sure, the authorities jump all over him. And they do so in order to give the illusion they’re, “doing something”.
I freaking guarantee you he’s a white guy.

even thin women nowdays don’t have waist. My sister speculated it was because we stopped wearing belts, but I think it is something else.

I'm not an advocate of squatting in public parks, but it's interesting that it's the marijuana plants that sunk him.
