Not when they are armed with a gun. They can turn and fire at any moment. They cease to be a threat only when they are down and out or out of range.
“Buttshot.”
Got a valid point, there. A NIC like that could foment some REALLY bad times in the pokey.
Sorry. When they come into the business wielding guns threatening people with an armed robbery, they surrendered all their rights on the spot. I don’t give a damn if they run or not. For all he knew, they might be positioning themselves for another attempt. I have no sympathy for them whatsoever and great latitude should be given to the one defending. We have had far too much of this kind of thing happen in this country, and it is time to take our country back from the lawless.
Yep.
Especially if the thug still had his gun.
He was still a threat. Period.
Previous coverage of the incident indicated that the Good Guy got off four aimed shots, and achieved four hits on perpflesh.
Good shooting! Too bad it was only a .380 ...
Been there, done that, multiples,SEMPER FI
To put a finer point on that: the guy’s footwork was great and he used both hands on the gun, never taking it out of his line of sight. No one was going to get at his gun. My only criticism was that he should have had a more powerful piece-——looked like a 22, and allowed the dumbasses to get thru the door!
I didn’t see the dumbasses drop either the bat or the gat. Until they disarm themselves, once threatened, you can shoot them in back, head, butt, foot, nose, ear,——whatever it takes to stop the threat. Different deal if they surrender but until they do they are multidirectional targets.——Ask a cop.
How do two guys who committed armed robbery make bail the same day?!!!
Does this judge have a brain?!!!
Yes, it was a bit like watching a Special Ops team go through a practice run. Very focused and no hesitation or “warning”. Unfortunately, with CCW there are compromises to be made among caliber, weight, concealment, and other factors. A seventy something can’t necessarily handle the recoil of a small .40 or .45 as well as a twenty something. A good friend of mine in his sixties just went through months of trial in finding the right weapons for him and his wife who has had thumb joint reconstruction. But I think you’d agree that this man got close to 100% out of the tool he had at hand.
I traded this
For this
Not the best trade I ever made.
The word probably doesn’t belong in your sentence.
No “bigger guns” meaning more lethal if the hero gets a visit at home from the 2 perps or perhaps their associates or even the gang behind their possible initiation gone wrong, now that his name is in the media. Was there a getaway car, was another accompliance at the wheel? etc. I don’t depend on press hacks to give details, and they gave the hero’s name. Snitches affiliated with gangs in police departments can leak his address as well. Hero should assume nothing and carry the fishing rod case around for awhile. No it wouldn’t carry fishing rods.
That picture is so full of awesome! It shows the old guy shooting the perps and the fact that the Boy Scouts still aren’t allowing homos!
My favorite part is near the end as they fall all over themselves in their mad scurry to get out the door.
