Poll: Voters Blame Obama for the Economy

Voters by and large believe that President Obama's economic policies have contributed to the persistent malaise in the economy, according to a new poll.

The CBS/New York Times survey finds that 64 percent of voters believe that Obama's policies have contributed significantly or somewhat to the persistent weakness in the economy.

...

Obama's relentless assault on Mitt Romney's business record are also showing no real signs of significantly shaping the race. Sixty percent of voters say that Bain makes no difference, while 23 percent say it makes them less likely to vote for him. Seventy-three percent of voters say that Romney's wealth makes no difference.

Romney gets better marks on handling the economy, with 49 percent of voters saying he would do a better job than Obama. Romney also has an advantage among voters on the budget deficit, taxes, and illegal immigration. Voters trust Obama more on foreign policy and social issues. Obama has only a one point advantage over Romney on handling of terrorism issues, 44 to 43 percent.

I like the trend....

Obama Team must be pulling their hair out. The democrat convention is not going to be anything special, Pelosi herself said that it was no big deal, they have their candidate. The GOP convention WILL be something, and I expect Romney to get a decent bounce out of it, which should give him a significant lead, which, fates be kind, will carry him through November.

“64 percent of voters believe that Obama’s policies have contributed significantly or somewhat to the persistent weakness in the economy. “

This statement tells me that Obama is done. There’s only two ways he can win:

1. Massive cheating and election fraud on a scale not seen before in this country.

2. Declare martial law and suspend the election.

and seems like Obama the Middle Class warrior and his wife the most beautiful woman in the world with best arms ever does- she wears $600.00 shoes come on and those are her gardening shoes.

This is good news. Now, if I can pour some water on the embers, if Oblunder does get beat by Willard, we will still have a, probably, worse than GWB in the White House.

Worse than GWB? Yeah, probably so. And yet, it'd still be an improvement.

It's a sad thing to contemplate, but that's where we stand.

Absolutely correct! Hussein can’t run on his pathetic record - what has he got - 0bamascare and everyone hates it, so the only thing left is to attack Romney.

64 percent of voters believe that Obama's policies have contributed significantly or somewhat to the persistent weakness in the economy.

It's not just the policies, destructive as they are. It's the way Obama is constantly running down business people as individuals.

The reason this economy is not recovering is that the entrepreneurial function has gone dormant. People still have as many productive ideas as ever, they just aren't acting on them. Why should they, when succeeding will only make them a target? This is why, unlike with most presidents, we should hold Obama personally responsible for the weakness of the economy.

Where are the idiots that keep banging the ‘Romney can’t win’ drum? There should be little doubt by now that Obama is the one who can’t win.

Hopefully, he'll choose a running mate that will make that an easier pill to swallow.

64%..Obama would be better off by imitating El BJ and not accept or seek his parties nomination for another term as president!

2. Declare martial law and suspend the election.

If that were to happen, it would then be time for Americans to carry out their own version of the storming of the Bastille.

Just the threat of Obama being elected to replace Bush has caused all this mess in the economy. The business worlds biggest fear was a socially liberal Democrat would be elected. Ever since he was the clear Democrat choice for president and it was clear McCain wouldn't win, fear has prevaded businesses and prevented growth. Fear is the greatest thing in the business world to prevent the economy from recovering. Fear of taxes, unknown costs and policies caused by the unknown that is Obama has caused this economy great harm.

“The democrat convention is not going to be anything special.”

Bet it will. The northern white racist unions are pissed as hell at the black DC SEIU racists. The SEIU pigs have shut down millions of jobs in the north. Expect all-out, rock ‘n roll race riots in NC. There’s no brother-union love between these two. Think of Sherman’s burning of Atlanta.

And the interesting thing about this poll is that it is of 1,xxx ADULTS.

They tried their best to poll the public an give “O” lead. These are stunning numbers considering the group polled.

This PoS poll doesn’t even poll registered voters much less likely voters. It is “adults” i.e. The Disaster is heading into an absolute wipeout which will give us a Republican Congress.

To me this means Romney CANNOT pick Portman.

He would allow Obama to go back to Blame Bush.

Jindal, Rubio or Pawlenty won’t have that problem unless I am forgetting a tie to the Admin.

Jindal is interesting because he dealt with Post Katrina AND Post BP and both admins. A lot of nuts and bolts govt/politics he experienced there.
