Thanks for the heads-up. Few people will watch it tonight - because it’s CNN, and because it’s Piers Morgan - but I bet after word gets around, this interview will get a lot of hits on the net. Because Justice Scalia is always interesting, and it will be fun to see him attempt to explain things to a dumb guy, who doesn’t now he’s dumb. (E.g., when the guy interviewed Jonah Goldberg some months ago, he was genuinely perplexed by the term “category error.” Piers Morgan apparently never heard or read the term, or if he did, he never bothered to understand its meaning.)

I'd like to hear him justify trampling the Tenth Amendment in Raich.

Where necessary to make a regulation of interstate commerce effective, Congress may regulate even those intrastate activities that do not themselves substantially affect interstate commerce.

Scalia concurring in Raich

Just turned on CNN to find out when it’s going to be on here (30 more minutes) and I thought my TV was going to have a heart attack. I don’t think I’ve turned on CNN since I got it.

Piers Morgan is such a turn off, but Scalia will balance it. There is no way Piers will intellectually understand half of what Scalia says. Piers is such a liberal weenie, and with his speech impediment, it will be difficult for Scalia to understand what he is saying.....physically or philosophically. It should be a good show.

My TV will not allow me to put CNN on. I hope that a transcript will be available!

On another note, I just participated in a Quinnipiac phone poll. My first time ever doing a poll. I have to go now. There are black SUVs coming up my driveway! :)

I only caught the last half hour but it was fascinating. He shot down the snotty, presumptive Morgan countless times and I especially loved the last line re the brilliance of the Founding Fathers and that he “doesn’t like anyone tinkering with it.” We understand, Mr Scalia, and thank you!

I recorded this last night and just began watching the interview...what strikes me most is the utter stupidity of Piers Morgan regarding the Constitution.

I guess since this isn’t his country, so I suppose I understand. He needs to get educated though. Like 95% of the journalists. I mean he sounds like a high school sophomore with his “it’s all subject to interpretation” crap.
