So far so good.. No football.
Body Language: He’s telling the truth; looking up to the left recalling events.
Attorney has coached him well.
no cable...please help
IMHO, George should not have given this interview at the time.
Sean is half giving the interview, he is the worst most annoying “interviewer” on earth.
He said he was hoping when he screamed that the police would come as he had been talking to them on the phone. Trayvon told him “he was going to die tonight Mf’r” and Trayvons hand went down towards the gun. That is when George shot Trayvon as he felt there was no more time to wait for the police to show up.
He did not know Trayvon died till one hour later. He was not sure if he hit him as Trayvon spoke and said “You got me.” Zimmerman said he thought he was saying “You win. You have the gun.” Zimmerman got up and only later realized he had hit him.
IMO he would have been better off just telling his side of the story in his own words, as the events happened, instead of letting Hannity "interview" him.
thanks for the heads up...watching.
The shot was upward in the belly wasn’t it and Trayvon keeled over in the grass? Just for devils advocacy sake, even if no shot wound were visible, if you had made such a shot wouldn’t the opponent’s falling over in the grass arouse YOUR curiosity?
The first thing Trayvon did was break Zimmermans nose. Zimmerman remembers he ended up on the ground and Trayvon kept hitting him at least 12 times and his head kept hitting the cement. Trayvon put his hand over his broken nose and mouth and told him to shut up.
When this is all laundered out and Zimmerman shows to be clean (as I think he probably will) he ought to sue Trayvon’s family for the trauma.
Zimmerman notes the media bias so to speak....
He has had multiple death threats and feels his life is in danger from the Black Panthers. Hannity points out there has been no arrests after they put out an illegal bounty on him. Hannity asks what he would say to all who rushed to judgment. He said he asks for an apology. “When you do something wrong, you should apologize.”
Hannity asks him about witness #9 and the racist views accusation and molestation accusation. He said he is glad the FBI cleared him of any racial wrongdoing and this witness did not state that HE said anyting racist. Furthermore, it is interesting that she is the only witness who finds him to be deviant.
Watching on and off, thanks for the commentary.
His lawyer said they cannot speak about the donation money, the intentions, etc., since his wife is charged and they are trying to accuse George of so much around this money.
IMO, he’s done well so far.
George says in all his calls to the police he never volunteered the race until asked by the police for it and his other calls involved various races. He is speaking of defending a minority against the Sanford police dept. in the past. He voluntarily took a lie detector test and passed it at the police station in the Trayvon case. George notes he is first of all an American, but ..Hispanic American. He is not a white targeting blacks.
“I want to tell America, my family, the City of Sanford and the Martin family, my wife, I am sorry and I am sorry this has polarized this country as it has.”
"Hannity points out there has been no arrests after they put out an illegal bounty on him."You may remember Minister Hashim Nzinga, he was the one handing out fliers declaring a $10,000 bounty on George Zimmermans head...he was arrested at the home of his probation officer on March 26th...on weapons charges
I can’t listen to him, he reminds me too much of Don Lapre. He looks like him and talks like him. “The greeeeeeeytest uh viiiiytamin in the WEEEERLD” Sean is from the same area of New York as me. Where the hell does he get this accent?
Did anyone watch the interview last nite? FR has been down here for the last 6 hrs. Just came back on line.
It is already starting. WPIX a local station had on an “expert” in reading body language. And she claimed you could see from the way his face was moving that he was trying to hide some thing. All I know is, I watched his face and everything she claimed he did, never happened. She claimed he was smirking. But if you watch his face he didn’t do that. It is so really sad that they are trying to railroad the guy, but won’t say anything bad about the Fort Hood gunman. I guess only he deserves a fair trial in the Presses eyes.
So she didn't hear a word he said. Unbelievable. I wonder what her body language said about what she was saying.
ZIMMERMAN: Yes, sir.
HANNITY: And you said to the police at one point that he put his hand over your mouth. Do you think that was to silence you from screaming?
ZIMMERMAN: Yes, sir. I believe he from what the investigators told me, he knew that I was talking to the police. And I was yelling so that I believed that the police officer was there and they just couldnt me. So, I was yelling in the hopes that they were in the vicinity and they would come when they heard me yelling.
Fallout from the interview: Sharpton and MSNBC trying to deny the[ir] record regarding rush to judgment:
It definitely stirred up the hornets nest.
The only stupid thing he said was he if he had it to do all again he wouldn’t change a thing because it was God’s will what happened. Stupid, stupid answer. God gives us free will and we do with it what we want. The smart answer would have been “of course I wish it had not happened but it did and I have to live with the death of someone I didn’t intend to shoot. I am sorry from the bottom of my heart that it had to happen, but I was put in a no-win situation and it was him or me. I feared for my life”.
The prosecution will tear this interview apart. I heard there’s a part two tonight. What the hell for? His lawyer should be sued by Zimmerman’s family for malpractice.
Better late than never. If the state of Florida wants a circus, then let the state of Florida pay for it.
It was just his way of saying no to BaBaWaWa —
Bad answer. ‘Didn’t intend to shoot’? You mean he was aiming for something else? That’s too vague. Leave that part out.
You bet they will. The more he talks, the more ammunition he gives them.
I heard theres a part two tonight.
I think Crump's partner in crime is on tonite. Part 2 tomorrow nite.
What the hell for?
I think they are trying to get donations up, but I think people want to see him get some backbone and go after Trayvon Martin's tox report, jv record, school records, and cut with the apology stuff. It's a bit much.
His lawyer should be sued by Zimmermans family for malpractice.
I think a lot of this is George's idea. And he's a Democrat and Democrat's think that all problems are problems of communication, that if they just heard me tell my story, then they would open up their hearts and purse strings, and believe me and love me. Courts don't work that way. He just may talk himself into a jail cell. He needs to stfu.
ZIMMERMAN: No, sir.
HANNITY: You have never heard about it before?
Zimmerman was a Criminal Justice student and had never heard of the Stand Your Ground law?
Its difficult to imagine that the topic of self-defense and SYG never came up with Mark Ostrander, the air marshal with DHS and former Seminole County Deputy Sheriff, when they were target shooting together.
On page 42 of the Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm Application is a list all of the applicable laws and conditions related to carrying a concealed weapon, including Stand Your Ground.
And Commissioner Adam Putnam sent a special notice to concealed weapon license holders concerning the Use of Deadly Force for Lawful Self-Defense.
He may have known it under a different name.
Until this incident I never heard of it.
And the words "stand your ground" do not appear in the statute.
He does have ADD you know. I'm sure he isn't the most avid reader.
It's always been called "Stand Your Ground" here in Florida, but you are correct. The exact wording in the statute is:
A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force...
That good looking Kimberly Guilfoyle, who used to be a prosecutor, just said on Hannity that she thinks the interview went well for Zimmerman. Maybe she seen something I didn’t see.
So then, you really have to search to find it in the statute and when you do find it, it’s not even there. The actual phrase is: “...right to stand his or her ground...”.
for the masses . . .
