Las Vegas Sands boss Sheldon Adelson is threatening to file a libel lawsuit against the U.S. Democratic Partys allegation that the billionaire is using the money gained from prostitution business in his Macau resorts to finance the Republicans election campaign, according to a report by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The report says Adelson is preparing to fight the Democrats in the courtroom as well as on the campaign trail, as a lawyer representing Adelson threatened to file a libel suit against the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), after it posted blogs alleging the Las Vegas casino magnate was funding Republican candidates with money gained from prostitution.

Which will provide the most bad publicity, the original allegation, or a public lawsuit against the allegation?

If he’s really being slandered it’s a good thing he’s defending himself, imo.
(But, given the business he’s in, that’s probably a BIG “if.”)
What do you bet that Adelson wipes the floor with the Dems? That is one guy I wouldn't want PO'd at me. He has the money to burn to go after whomever he chooses and he has demonstrated his willingness to part with it in support of a candidacy.
When his name first came up in connection with Newt, I heard a report that the old guy's income from his holdings is about $1 million/hour . . . think about that . . . he has already given Newt about $20 million and another $10 million so far to Mitt (that I have heard of) and he has pledged as much as $30-40 million for the presidential campaign.
If the Dems make him angry enough, he might just decide to drop a cool million on each of the Republicans running in a contested race . . . LOL! . . . wouldn't that cause some Dem-MSM-politico wails and cries of outrage. :)

(Member of the BBB Club - Bye-Bye-Barry!!! President Barack "Down Low" Obama)
Adelson should hire Elliott Spitzer to pursue his case.
