“Just shut up and cook or sell things. Yes they are on our side but really I don’t want to get my values from a fast food eatery. Seriously folks this is just insane.”

You are 100% right in theory, but in practice, the Rainbow Agenda is forcing all businesses and retailers to choose sides. The gays are very, very divisive people. Very litigious, too.

I don’t understand why a chicken franchise wants to get near this discussion at all. I realize Chick-Fil-A is Christian-friendly but, seriously, why should a business that only serves food stake a position on this at all?

Sorry, only total capitulation will suffice. This battle was never about tolerance but about remaking the moral framework of society.

Because, as I said above, they are being forced to. The gay advocates were very clever in tearing the culture apart, forcing every business and school and church and college to take sides. Pretty disgusting, when you look back on it all. And it shows no sign of abating.

Absolutely correct. Neutrality to the rainbow agenda = bigotry (” how can you be neutral about the prejudice against poor lil us, which makes us vulnerable to bullying and suicide???”) - they have it all worked out, so that neutrality becomes an evil.

“I don’t understand why a chicken franchise wants to get near this discussion....”

It is because God is more important than money.

The 1-2% of the population who are gay and may
boycott will not be greater than the majority of
the population who are true Christian and may
go more often to the chain because of its stand
for what God has instituted in the earth.

There is a new Chik-Fil-A opening soon on North
1st Street in San Jose CA, just off Hwy 237.

Funny you should mention pro-gay Barry Goldwater. He always did seem more a libertarian than a Reagan republican.

I’m glad Chick-fil-A believes in being pro-family.

Wonder how long it takes Fox News’ resident sodomite liberal broadcaster Ms. Shepard Smith to raise hell about this restaurant having the nerve to “discriminate” against his favorite Americans.

By the looks of their lines - at EVERY location I’ve seen - their 2% won’t be missed!

...pro-gay Barry Goldwater.

AuH20 went off the rails in his old age. I was too young to vote for Richard Nixon in 1960 but I did campaign for him. The Nixon of that era was a good man and a fierce fighter against the evil forces of communism and domestic fifth columnists. By the time of Goldwater's ascendency as the Republican nominee, I supported him wholeheartedly and he was the first vote I cast for POTUS.

Sadly, both of them moved away from their Constitutional Conservatism roots as they aged. The stain on Nixon's legacy isn't Watergate but the EPA as well as wage and price controls. As for Goldwater, suffice it to say by the the late 1980's, he wasn't at all the man I admired from the 1960's.

Did Goldwater really change all that much? I think even back in the 60s, he had a pretty strong libertarian streak.

If the queers want to boycott Chick-Fila-A, then fine.

Not only fine, but a great sales point. My grandson loves their play area. We love having him play with other kids and without fear of some queer ogling him.

I still love their food. If the gays want to boycott, it just means a shorter line for us.

That and the guys won't have to worry about somebody crowding them from behind. :=)

The queers, despite all the “jamming” they do to try to make it seem like they’re 25% of the population, are really only in the 1% range.

They may be as high as 2% or even 3%, but it is only about 1/3rd of them which are disgustingly obnoxious about it.

A business associate of mine from a previous life had that illness and admitted it was a mental illness. He despised that 1% more than I did and said they discouraged people like him from getting the help they needed.

He kept his problem under control only by avoiding them like the plague but wished he could have a normal heterosexual relationship. He was afraid to pursue such a relationship, however, until he was sure he would never go near the gay sewer again.

I'm sure there are others like him.

I strongly favored Barry Goldwater in 1964 because of his support for the Tenth Amendment and his pro-military, anti-communist stance. He certainly advocated a smaller government and, in fact, called for defunding the United Nations.

What did trouble me later about Goldwater is how he engaged in political combat against the so-called Christian Right. He never seemed to fully embrace the bedrock Christian values upon which America was built. Still, he gave us this immortal line which I rank up there with the words of Patrick Henry's "...liberty or death" proclamation:

I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.

Oh bullcrap.

He is saying “You’re a sodomite? We’ll sell you a chicken sandwich.” Which is fine with me...

There is no “damage control”...this is the man making sure everyone knows he won’t deny you food if you’re a liberal dope smoking long haired maggot infested homosexual.

As with any other sin or addiction, you can’t fight it of your own power, or else it comes back 8 times worse (the demons and the clean house).

Taking it to the cross is the only way out.

There have been articles recently critisizing CFA for donating to organizations which promote traditional marriage.

I always felt most of the public figures who made up the so-called “Christian Right” were charlatans (Pat Robertson, really?), and I think deep down Reagan felt that way too, but he knew how to use them for his own benefit, and he would throw them just enough bones to keep them happy, he was just more diplomatic towards them, than Goldwater was.

That may be the least of their concerns. As I drove by Chick-Fil-A this afternoon, I was wondering what they've done to protect themselves against terrorism.
