Rush should be invited to deliver this speech at the Republican Convention.

I think the Roanoke speech just *may* have been Zero's Waterloo: he really ripped off the mask disguising his socialism with that speech.

And it wasn't only the content, which was bad enough: the delivery was truly revealing.

We've become used to his usual teleprompter-reading style, where he's able to put on an air of superior intellectualism, but this un-promptered speech was much different. In it, the community organizer/Chicago street agitator was on full display: the thuggish cadences were quite obvious, as if he was speaking to an ACORN or SEIU crowd.

It's no wonder that his media lackeys have for the most part ignored the speech: it will be up to the Mittster to use it to his advantage to expose Zero for the leftist, anti-American creep that he really is.

Memo to Mitt: don't go wobbly on this.

Romney in a landslide. You heard it here first.

Hope you're right. Dick Morris has been saying this for months.

Romney was quick to point out that the taxpayers (notably business owners) pay for the roads, bridges, and infrastructure as well as employ workers. So arguably they build it all.

“despite the constant criticism on FR, Romney will be 1000 times better for America (and the economy) than Obama. “

Indeed. Which tells you just how truly awful Comrade Hussein has been for America. In developing your political calculus a bit further, I think we can safely say that Romney is only about .1 times as good as Ronald Reagan, which would then make our current Communist-in-Chief 10,000 times worse than Ronald Reagan, which I think comes out about right.

And yes, Romney was not my first choice (or 2nd, 3rd, etc.), but as they say, Romney may be a lying weasel, but he’s OUR lying weasel, and I for one will be supporting him over Obama. After all, I’d vote for a syphilitic camel over Obama, so voting for Romney isn’t that much bigger of a stretch.

(And Romney has in fact handled himself very well in front of the cameras of the hostile press, as well as making some pretty darn good speeches.)

I hope so. I’m not a fan of Romney, but at this point, it’s anybody but Obama for me.

“He ain’t got no record to be proud of. Romney in a landslide. You heard it here first.”

Not a chance of a landslide for Romney. If there is a landslide it will be for 0bama. If Romney wins, it will be close. 0bama has 48-49% of the vote sewn up already.

If you don’t like Romney .. that’s fine with me .. but to come on here and spread rumors and imply it’s better to win the house and senate is just beyond the pale - I’m at puke already!!

Go ahead and puke. I don't like Romney. And I did not spread any rumors. I stated a fact. Some of us are thinking the White House is lost either way. Again, that is a fact. If you don't like it, go ahead and puke again. There are many areas where sole power lies in the House and Senate, not the Executive branch. The budget process for one. The President can only veto and usurp power so much, and he will be blocked. He can't carry out his hopes and changes without money.

I agree with everything you said—including the part about pining for Newt.

We actually had an article in the Charlotte Observer yesterday that both surprised and delighted me. They were talking about how Pelousi is demanding Romney release more tax documents and how he wouldn't qualify for a staff position in the Congress with what he's holding back. Harry Reid said that Romney wouldn't qualify to be dogcatcher for the same reason but...the article called BOTH of them out over why Congress doesn't have to do the same. Neither one releases their tax returns and less than 5% (I think it said) in Congress actually do.

Of course, Pelousi defended that in her press conference that there is no "rule" that requires them to, but it was heartening to hear at least SOME media people are challenging them for a change.

Let’s not get carried away here. We conservatives must always still keep in mind that Myth is a detestable fabian socialist RINO. He’s no Reagan. He’s not even Gerald Freaking Ford. He’s a bad guy.

BUT he’s preferable, I’ve come to believe, however marginally, to the outright Marxist.

Hank

you know what was almost as sickening as obama’s speech was the “amens” that kept gurgling up from the crowd. All the “UH-HUH!”s that were audible in the background as he whooped the crowd into an indignant fit.

Incredible.

The “fact” that you believe the WH is lost already .. means you’re only here to start a fight.

Sorry .. I don’t agree with you.
