Obama Ad Accuses Romney of 'Launching a False Attack' for Quoting Obama
Weekly Standard ^ | 7-19-12 | DANIEL HALPER

President Obama's reelection campaign accuses Mitt Romney of distorting the president's words, by showing a side by side comparison of the Obama's words and Romney's quotation of those words.

"Mitt Romney is launching a false attack," the ad's text states. But the weird thing is: The Obama campaign is purposefully trying to make it sound like Romney is misquoting the president, when the official White House transcript backs up Romney's quotation.

In the ad, Romney says that Obama revealed his thoughts on business when he said this, "If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

And, in fact, according to official White House transcript that's precisely what Obama said on July 13, 2012 in Roanoke, Virginia.

The MSNBC Klux Klansters, Obama's Media Minions, and the Kos Kwazies have been freaking out about this, because they KNOW it is very damaging, and runs counter to The Current Truth they have been trying to push.

Obama's runaway mouth again...

Expect to be called a RASSISS!!! for even mentioning Obama's own words by tomorrow.

I have read that this year's campaigns were going to be the nastiest on record. Boy, were they right.
That mean nasty Romney is using actual quotes from Lil Barry. Oh the evilness of it all.

“You didn’t build that” is going to be the “I voted for it before I voted against it” of this election.

"Obama Ad Accuses Romney of 'Launching a False Attack' for Quoting Obama"

..... hey .... doesn't this statement by the "Obama" camp admit that what Mr. Obama actually says with his own mouth is full of "False Statements."

It’s a valiant attempt to spin Obama’s marxist statements into free enterprise clothing.

The guy just has to wear a mask.

The best commentary on Obama’s statement, IMHO, is here:

The Flying Monkeys are already pooping on anyone who brings this up.

The talking-point reply is, "You're obviously so ignorant, you can't see he was taken out of context". That's an exact quote from moonbats on FB and several article comments.

These people are unbefrickenlievable! In Obama’s ad, denying he said what Romney quotes, they show him saying THOSE EXACT WORDS! They must be losing it, big time.

So Zer0 won’t get mad if I piss on his leg and call it rain? You know, since everyone started calling him Zer0, I don’t even see him. Now, pissing on his leg is like pissing in the wind.

The funny thing is, when you include the statement BEFORE "they didn't build that", it increases the idiocy. Obama seems to believe that a business can be created only because of the Internet, roads and bridges, and other infrastructure built by governments.

If it weren't for people creating businesses around it, the Internet would simply still be an alternative communication system, set up for the Federal Govt. and universities. The Government certainly didn't make it what it is today.

As for the roads and bridges, the vast majority of people who use them will never build a business that employs others, and to imply that the only reason the business people are successful is because roads and bridges are there to move products is ludicrous. If it weren't for the taxes generated by those businesses, and the people they employ, the Fed. Govt, States and localities wouldn't have the taxes to build and maintain those roads and bridges. And besides, there were successful businesses created LONG before the Internet and Federal highway system.

Thanks for link.

What divides liberals and conservatives is not roads and bridges but Julia’s world, an Obama campaign creation that may be the most self-revealing parody of liberalism ever conceived. It’s a series of cartoon illustrations in which a fictional Julia is swaddled and subsidized throughout her life by an all- giving government of bottomless pockets and “Queen for a Day” magnanimity. At every stage, the state is there to provide — preschool classes and cut-rate college loans, birth control and maternity care, business loans and retirement. The only time she’s on her own is at her grave site.

Julia’s world is totally atomized. It contains no friends, no community and, of course, no spouse. Who needs one? She’s married to the provider state.

“And besides, there were successful businesses created LONG before the Internet and Federal highway system.”

I hike along the NY/NJ border, where there was a lot of mining activity (often pre-dating the American Revolution); the whole infrastructure (roads, houses, reservoirs) was built by the entrepreneurs who ran the iron industry. they succeeded despite the government, not because of it.

I live in the Marcellus Shale play for natural gas.

Private companies are building and rebuilding roads & bridges that the state was too incompetent to build properly the first time.

The private companies rebuild a bridge in a matter of weeks where the state takes years.

First, this has gone viral all over the web.....based on Obama’s own words, not anything Romney said.

Second, Obama only has himself to blame for speaking from his cold, dark heart.

The comments following the Krauthammer piece you posted gives further insight into the ‘progressive’ thought process. It does not occur to them that the need for infrastructure comes as a result of private enterprise. The need for roads and bridges resulted from consumer demand for automobiles produced by private enterprise, not the other way around. The same goes for the rapid advancements in electronics and computers.
