The Usual Suspects: ABC's Ross, Stephanolpoulos Point to Tea Party in Dark Knight Shooting
Breitbart ^ | 7/20/2012 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 07/20/2012 8:01:30 AM PDT by blueyon

On Good Morning America, ABC News' Brian Ross and George Stephanolpoulos suggested that the Tea Party might be connected to the mass shootings early this morning in an Aurora, CO theater during a screening of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. The mainstream media attempted to blame the Tea Party for the Tuscon shootings in January 2011, shortly after Republicans swept the midterm elections. Now, in the critical 2012 elections, the mainstream media seems poised to do the same--and ABC News has led the way.

Here is the exchange between reporter Brian Ross and host George Stephanopoulos about apparent suspect James Holmes:

Even if it is proven to not be the same James Holmes, they will keep saying that this was the initial thought, that he was a tea party activist.

ABC should be able to be sued for that because that is not reporting.

ABC isn’t Joe citizen on a forum speculating, they have a responsibility to be fact based.

I hate the liberal media almost as much as I hate Obama.

"He is probably going to turn out to be a mental patient, that crosses the whole political spectrum."

I agree that mental illness crosses the political spectrum, but statistically there is a higher accumulation of mental illness on the left. To reflexively jump to the conclusion (as the media does) that every crazy shooter is a right-wing crazy has no factual basis and statistically is a very, very poor bet. They will frequently end up with egg on their face, but since they're the media we won't hear about it.

Standard procedure. Get the right-wing, anti-government nutcase meme out there. Then when the criminal is really a militant anarchistic leftist (which is usually the case), it won’t be reported or will be in a little blurb on page 16 of a paper nobody reads anyway.

Is it possible that Steponallofus was responsible, it’s as plausible as his assertion. George just throws it out there hoping it gets some traction. A message to George: George, no
group is immune from deranged behavior, democrats and TV personalities included.

The left is really out of sorts that the hoi paloi is rising up and threatening their power.

I imagine that it is unnerving that we’re no longer suffering their evils while they are still sufferable, but instead are righting the situation by abolishing their rule to which all have become accustomed.

(Yes, wording from the Declaration)

There's a Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, page on the Colorado Tea party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last year. Now, we don't know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it's Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado.

Then why the F&@k Report it then!?

Oh Wait, I know, the News isn't about reporting the truth. Its about pushing an agenda.

No Matter how unethical, how many die, or how much it costs, the Liberal Narrative MUST be maintained.

These people are below contempt.

How about we blame Obama and Holder by saying the guns used were “fast and furious” weapons and the shooter was an occupy supporter.

See how that works.

We've STILL got some in the media who blames the right for the Giffords shooting in spite of all the evidence to the contrary.

I've said it before. The media in this country has never been so dishonest or corrupt and this nations number one greatest enemy.

Just when you thought the mainstream media couldn't be any more irresponsible, they come out with this garbage. "Jim Holmes", like "Brian Ross" is a pretty common name. I hope that this Jim Holmes sues ABC and Brian Ross for every cent they've got.
