If I were the powers that be at CFA, I would just go elsewhere. The business is successful. Doesn’t need to locate in a pansy state.

Who does he think he is - Barack Obama?

Block them on what grounds?

Where is the legal authority to do such a thing?

This is rooted in discrimination against religious principles.

Boston is the elephant in the room. When I visited Massachusetts recently I found that the towns are full of hard working people who try to get around the elephant the best they can. I think we need to re-think Massachusetts, Boston is more like NYC which most people outside of NYC do not like.

So much for the tolerant left!

Secondly, he didn’t say a thing about gay marriage: “We are very much supportive of the family - the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that,”

I used to do the exact same thing with California...talk about me wearing my faults on my back.

As for Chick-Fil-A...gonna be my new destination.

The founder of Chick-fil-A, Truitt Cathy, is a philanthropist. He’s given away millions of dollars mostly for needy children and college scholarships.

The mayor of Boston is a nobody compared to Truitt Cathy.

Sorry, Menino, but Chick-Fil-A is already in suburban Boston:

http://www.chick-fil-a.com/Locations/Browse/MA

I think of Chick-Fil-A as more of a suburban than a urban place, anyway.

Since Menino and his supporters will be missing out on Chick-Fil-A, they can chow down on “gay” cuisine, whatever that is!

It’s a shakedown game played by the gay activists. Chick-Fil-A is basically minding its own business, selling chicken, while innocuously and gently expressing its Christian beliefs, and the gays decide they’ve found a new target. They go and ask them to become vocals supporters of the gay agenda, and they politely decline. And suddenly, the left has a new company to hate and protest. I’ve encountered several people recently who utterly despise CFA for their politics—politics which they only expressed when asked, “Do you support us or do we mount a campaign?” So far, they’ve held tight. I just got back from there for the second time this week.

Who does he think he is - Barack Obama? Block them on what grounds?

Obama is rebuilding this country into a feudal state. He himself would be the king, of course. But lesser lords, fully subservient to Obama, will be given similar absolute power over their regions. Feudalism worked for thousands of years, why not to go back to it? /s

This is quite obvious since Obama legislates from his office already by ignoring existing laws and enforcing arbitrary rules of his own invention. The Congress is silent. The Supreme Court is instructed to not interfere. The tame, bureaucratic military will not do anything. All the effective power is now in the hands of the President. This is also the point from which absolute monarchs begin their downfall. How soon The People will start seeking foreign support? And who will provide such support?

I can relate being a conservative in New York State. Although I don’t live in the cesspool of liberalism known as NYC and it’s environs I do live in it’s liberal cousin Buffalo, over on the West Side of the state. Hard headed democrats who vote party over religion, there are many Catholics here. It is frustrating. The letters to the editor of the local fish wrap, The Buffalo Snews is enough to make one want to move, which I would if I could. It’s a long story.

I love Chick-Fil-A. I love it more than McDonalds. I love their chicken nuggets and waffle fries. I love Chick-Fil-A so much that even if their CEO came out in favor of gay marriage, I’d still sneak in there a few times a month. Chick Fil-A is too good to be kept out of a major city for long. Most people just aren’t that political.

I had always liked Chick-fil-A and felt compelled to eat there the other day to support them over the LGBT crowd.

Alas, my spicy chicken sandwich was barren of any condiments other than two pickle slices.
Just 2 slices of bread, a hunk of chicken and two lousy pickle slices.
In the past the sandwiches had always been decked out with nice lettuce and tomato with a nice smear of mayo.

I won’t be back.
Not because of politics or social protests, but because the meal was crappy and over priced.

I was very disappointed.

From now on it’s Wendys spicy chicken sandwich for me,or the McDodo’s spicy chicken on the dollar menu.

Chick-fil-a should open a restaurant in every city on Boston’s outskirts...

OTOH, on what legal grounds could the mayor refuse them opening in Boston. Since when does a mayor, alone, decide who is allowed to do business in town?

WAs the Mayor raised in Chicago?

To be honest I have never had the McDodos sandwich.
I had it suggested to me thurs after I relayed my disappointment with the Chick-fil-a sandwich.

Who the heck pays $7 plus dollars for a hunk of chicken on a lame bun with two pickles, a side of fries(they were good) and a medium coke?

Thank God I had some mayo, lettuce and home grown tomatoes at work.
I salvaged it, but what was I paying for if I had to fix it myself?
The chicken was very nice and spicy, but over all I was disappointed.

What he said (and said quite well).

There are large concentrations of moonbattery in Mass. (Boston, Cambridge, Amherst) where Bitter Lizzy Warren stickers abound. But there are lots of conservatives here...enough to outnumber the moonbats, in my opinion. What the moonbats have in their favor are two large voting blocs that seem to often align with them: state workers (gotta vote dem to keep our jobs) and the ill-informed and apathetic ("stick with the devil you know" or "my grandpa said Republicans are bad"). That said, the anti-Obama sentiment is strong here. He might win the state, but it won't be by the same margin as last time.
