DETROIT (WJBK) -
An attempted home invasion ends with a deadly shooting. The man who pulled the trigger is 73 years old. He was armed and ready after being targeted last week.
Detroit police tell us a man who was likely in his mid 30's is dead because he broke into a home on the city's west side. The homeowner says two men tried to break into his home on Sunday.
On Thursday, he heard a noise coming from downstairs. He knew something was not right, so he grabbed his gun to see what was going on and he encountered a stranger he believed was one of the men who tried to rob him before.
Police tell us the bad guy had kicked in the front door and walked in but the man of the house was right there and opened fire. One shot to the chest.
The suspect ran out of the house and collapsed in the driveway of the home next door, where he died.
Police do not know who the suspect is. He did not have an ID, so right now, he is a John Doe.
Right now, the homeowner is being questioned by homicide detectives.
“Got heeem!”
Seems like the leading cause of death in Detoit is screwing with old people.
...and so the cycle of violence continues. A man, no a child, somebody’s child, no longer can help keep a family happy, or entertained. What will holidays now be like at that family, when they know their loved one died a needless death because of a gun-crazed homeowner? Who will help this poor man’s parents now as they reach old age? Of course the homeowner should be punished, for he put a dagger through such a lovely family. I am just saddened that the Tea Party supports this bloodbath.

Find it kind of hard to believe that he is (apparently) in his mid 30’s and they can’t ID him-one would think that he would be on record somewhere??
Just more proof that EVERYONE should have their own anti-home invasion kit.
And the gentleman certainly has good gun control.
Action beats reaction most of the time my hat is off to this gentleman he is a true American for not only keeping a gun but for standing up for his rights in his own home good shooting brother!
