Since ideas transcend personalities, it is foolish to make a Palin condition.
Rather, it should be said
- Romney must pick a conservative VP
- Romney must run a conservative issues-oriented campaign
on the second item, Romney did himself credit with a great speech slamming Obama’s “you didnt built it” re-marx.
The base AND the independents will be with Romney if he draws the distinction between Obama’s spend-more tax-more philosophy and a conservative free market approach that builds the economy up through free enterprise.
Well you go ahead and back a wider coalition.
I’m for Palin.
:D
1. Romney needs to pick a running mate who can connect with conservative voters. Doesn't have to be Palin, and in light of the 2008 results that may not be a great idea anyway.
2. Romney only needs to make this campaign about the last four years ... Obama's track record ... and nothing else. Unemployment figures, inflation, the looming financial collapse of various states and municipalities, mounting casualties in Afghanistan, etc.
More than anything else, Romney simply needs to lay low and make this campaign about Obama, not issues.
