Vicodin doesn’t come in anything resembling a 100 mg dose. I have no idea what they are talking about

I have never used Vicodin, but that particular aspect of the story was discussed here.

Vicodin doesn’t come in anything resembling a 100 mg dose.

It's probably a formulaic extrapolation from a blood test, i.e. his blood measured X-level of Vicodin 30 minutes ago, and X-level of Vicodin an hour ago, therefore he must have consumed X-amount X-hours ago.

I like your train of thought. While we’re at it, we must ban Pharmacies and doctors too!

Well it didn’t say 100mg pill, it said 100mg of. So you could easily take 10 10mg pills.

No, the story indicates that Holmes himself "told" the arresting officers that he'd taken "100 mg" of "Vicodin."

So, either Holmes didn't know what he'd taken, or the cops misunderstood what he told them, or the reporter's source that communicated this information screwed up, or the reporter misunderstood what he or she was told by the source. It could be anything . . . or nothing.

Given the quality of the press today, Holmes could have told the cops that he'd bitten head off a live bat beforehand, and this is how it got reported.

Sure, you could take 10x 10/500 vicodins, but the problem is you'd be comatose, and your liver would practically explode from the acetaminophen content. That's 5 GRAMS of tylenol.

This is what is driving me nuts about the media coverage. So many "facts" that are not even remotely true, and could be figured out with just a little brainpower, and listening to what was actually reported.

No, he wasn't a medical student.

No, he wasn't a 52 year old Tea Party member.

No, he didn't take 100mg of vicodin.

No, he didn't buy a ticket wearing full body armor.

No, he didn't say "I'm the Joker" while shooting.

All these hundreds of stories about him are giving him exactly what he wants, attention.

He’s a murderer and deserves to rot in the pit of hell.

How come the emergency door he propped open, was not detected by theater employees?

It’s the oldest ploy in the book to open the emergency door to let friends in who have not paid. Easy to arrange with cell phones.

So either the emergency door should have sounded an alarm, or should have been monitored be employees.

Of course this bastard knew that he could pull this off because he rehearsed door propping earlier.
