Stupid, I work on one of the critical networks they are talking of, we already have extensive law and rules to keep it secure. Redundant laws just make things more complicated for no gain, only extra costs.

Idiots in Congress, rarely is one smart enough to handle the simplest task.

Rockefeller, Lieberman, Collins, and Feinstein, not exactly a paragon of virtue.

URGENT INTEL: EXPLAINING CYBERSECURITY ACT OF 2012 - IT WILL VIOLATE OUR PRIVACY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeuQ60qTMUE&feature=youtu.be

Email received from a congress member on the committee

There are a variety of bills advanced including….
Legislation S 2105 rushed through committee without a markup denying members any chance to variety of amendments to improve the bill.

As written grants vast power to DHS and does little to enhance the ability of private sector entities to prevent and respond to cyper threats.

Imposes regulations –
Businesses – 3rd party
Report by CBO – regulatory compliance cost – unlimited because of lack of clarity.....
Depends on fake false premise that business can’t adequately protect themselves.

The threat is evolving and DHS can develop and enforce is laughable.

Any policy by DHS would be responding to yesterday’s threat making it too little too late.

This bill is massive government intrusion into private industry.

You tuber comment
That confirms by assessment of this bill S 2105 Cybersecurity bill and the DHS involvement and not the right approach. It went to the calendar and then to committee which is backwards.
