The usual suspects trying to capitalize on a horrific event. See how that goes over. More people than ever bought guns to protect themselves and their familes since obama became resident. Lautenberg is an idiot. Let’s make the whole country like Chicago where only gang bangers and thugs have guns. F’n idiots.

They never mention the millions of robberies, assaults, rapes, attempted violence, etc. that are averted by brandishing a weapon or displaying a weapon, each year!

Actually, “Lurch” Lautenberg died a decades ago, but the NJ Donkeys brought is zombie alter ego back from the dead to wander the Capitol halls, mindlessly bloviating. It would be poetic justice if Lurch vapor locked in the middle of a ban the guns tirade. It would also be the best service he ever rendered to the American public during his existence — alive or dead.

You’ve got to admit that this cadaver has sticktoativeness. Everytime he gets the chance, there he is with another gun control bill.

And yet the insane (the political class) continue to try time and time again. The truth be told, its just one more way for them to control the population and not the nut-jobs of the world such as the individual or individuals who where involved with massacre. They need them in order to capitalize on these types of sick events.

Never let a crisis go to waste I guess.

Of course, the theater had a no weapon policy - but taxes probably weren’t high enough to really make it safe....

The American Revolution began when the Crown tried to disarm the Colonists.

I guess the American Revolution will die when free people demand to be disarmed....

not only that, any psycopath who would commit mass murder of the innocent would never even consider obeying a Gun Law . and a mass murderer has plenty of other more effective weapons at his disposable , makeshift explosives, a heavy equipment tractor, aircraft, chemical weapons, firebombs, etc etc,

for example, Boxcutters killed over 3,000. Banning guns will accomplish only disarmament of the sane and law abiding

Liberalism is a mental disorder that affects the ability to connect cognitive reasoning with reality, instead the liberal reasoning is connected to fantasy idealism

I had a argument with one gun grabber today. I told them I didn’t believe it happened as the theater was a “Gun Free Zone.” They didn’t like that.

Considering Reid’s extreme liberalism on Sup Court nomination — against pro-Second Amendment Roberts and Alito but for anti-Second Amendment Sotomayor and Kagan — the NRA should have opposed him last time.

Of course, if Nevadan Republicans hadn’t nominated a walking disaster named Sharon Angle, then he likely would have lost anyway, but that’s neither here nor there.

Good, go right ahead. Perfect time to fire up the conservative base before the election.

The ‘Lautenberg Bill’ passed by Congress and has been in effect for a long time now

One of the Republican candidates in the Presidential primary and debates voted for it

Many FReepers supported that candidate

Lautenberg has been asleep the last six years - who the heck woke him up?

Chicago should be the safest city in America, right?

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to own cars.
