His behavior doesn't add up
His behavior already reveals stark inconsistencies that question the mainstream explanation of events. For example, he opened fire on innocent people but then calmly surrendered to police without resistance. This is not consistent with the idea of "killing everyone."
Furthermore, he then admitted to police that his apartment was booby-trapped with explosives. If you were really an evil-minded Joker trying to kill people (including cops), why would you warn them about the booby trap in advance? It doesn't add up.
"Holmes was taken into custody shortly after the shooting, police said, adding he didn't resist when he was arrested," reports a local CBS news affiliate.
"After his arrest, Holmes told police about 'possible explosives in his residence,' Oates said. When police searched his apartment, they discovered it was booby-trapped and evacuated surrounding buildings, police said. Oates said bomb technicians are determining how to disarm flammable or explosive material in the third-floor apartment. He said police could be there some time."
None of this checks out. If you're a killer bent on causing mayhem, why tell the police about your surprise bomb waiting for them back at your apartment?
Holmes was clearly provided with exotic gear...

I wonder if the POS in the WH will pardon holmes.
If this statement is accurate, then this could indicate that someone else actually booby-trapped the apartment. Why else would the term "possible explosives" be used here?
Again -- this is purely speculation based on the exact wording of the statement here.
Question: Where does an unemployed, introverted medical school student get the training to deploy sophisticated booby traps, tactical body armor, weapons systems and more? Certainly not in graduate school!
All this leads to an obvious third party influence over all this. Someone else taught this guy these skills and funded the acquisition of the equipment.
Yes, it adds up. He had expected to have a prearranged explosion at his apartment draw the police off, and then the booby traps draw more police and first responders off, which would facilitate his escape. Although the explosion occurred, and his neighbors noted the noise, they did not report it to 911, so the police responded more efficiently to the theater shooting reports and captured him. Once he was captured there was no longer any need to kill the police and first responders with the booby traps, because now that he was caught cooperation might mitigate his punishment.
Odd he had all the battle gear but gave up so easily.
He killed 12 people. There won’t be any mitigation.
RE: I wonder if the POS in the WH will pardon holmes.
OK__ I’ll bite... um why?
exotic gear my aching azz... feh
For one, he wrongly assumed the apartment had already blown up. By the reports the music started playing very loud right at midnight and the door was not locked. He assumed someone from the apartments would have just walked in, in essence destroying much of the evidence inside. Essentially, he took credit for something that never happened.
Can’t do it. State crimes.
My guess why no one fought back is that the theater was filled with children and adult children. The average mental age of people attending those movies I would guess to be at 10-12 years old. However, there seems to be something strange about the shooter and his preparations. 10 - 20 thousand dollars for equipment, bomb making abilities and supplies, and his easy surrender just don’t add up. Something is just wrong about the whole thing.
Its a cover up for the Muzzies.
Colorado Shooter’s Behavior “doesn’t add up”
Because he’s nuts?
Possible Federal because many of his actions fall under terrorism.
not realy.
SO WHAT YOU GOT ME_ GIMMEE 3 hots an a cot I BLASTED MY WAD HOMIE! now I get preferntial treat ment
One other thing doesn’t add up — The Aurora police chief speaking on camera acting like he didn’t know in advance from the shooter that the apt. was booby-trapped. He was just dang ANGRY that this guy could have hurt first responders going to his pad. Huh?
This is going to get really weird, folks. Much weirder than Loughner. Not saying Holmes didn’t have some sort of psychotic break, but was this on the radar? Where is his family — come on, Don Lemmon, get your sorry buns to California.
The Black Bloc crew at the Seattle WTO riot were all very well equipped, curiously so.
“Because hes nuts?”
Yep, my thoughts exactly.
Exactly, makes a person speculate just who is funneling the funding for these groups.
What national group hates America with an extreme passion?
“Question: How does an unemployed medical student afford $20,000 in weapons gear?”
Those are good question. Maybe just follow the money.
RE He was just dang ANGRY that this guy could have hurt first responders going to his pad. Huh?
If only the police chief would have read FR
OK, here is my tin foil response.
I wonder if the attack could be an Obama October surprise of sorts?
Remember how Obama got a bump after the Grifford shootings?
And how everyone fell in love with Clinton after the Oklahoma City bombing?
Obama will give an eloquent speech at a well televised memorial and suddenly the magic will be back.
Could this mass murderer be an Obama fan?
The president can pardon anybody for any federal crime. One of the few constitutional powers with no check or balance.
He cannot pardon state crimes such as murder.
This whole thing (even the same smirky, crazy eyed, gaze in the mug shot) reminds me of the Giffords shooting.
YouTube.
This ain't rocket surgery.
This lunatic’s mother when called knew immediately that her son was the shooter. It begs the question how many other people knew that this man was dangerous. Friends, teachers, neighbors, fellow students etc. Fully understand that the police cannot visit and question a person just because someone says he is crazy, but if someone reports that a person is acting crazy and is accumulating guns, ammo and assault gear, then the police would have paid at least a visit. Even if everything he accumulated was within the law, a visit by a police officer may have given him pause and may have changed history. Then again maybe nothing would have been changed. However if I had a neighbor with mental health problems and the guy suddenly began accumulating weapons, and his behavior was known to someone, certainly would hold that someone partially responsible if no actions were taken.
Unemployed, and all that hardware; given the media’s propensity to hide the truth, it may be a possibility...more info is needed.
His family is already in Colorado. They were taken there the morning after the massacre. I’ll be more interested is hearing why his mother was so resolute as to knowing he was the one responsible for this.
He wanted to make sure nobody could shoot back and get him while he was shooting...he wanted to live to see the destruction he had wrought. Perhaps he considered that to be “enough”.
I truly think the line from the prior Dark Knight movie sums him up: “Some men just want to watch the world burn”.
The questions are based on false assumptions. First I see no facts to back an estimate of $20K in weaponry. An AR-15, a shotgun, a couple of pistols, magazines, surplus body-armor and gas-mask, and ammunition (including that used in the shooting and the booby traps probably cost $5K tops. (Sophisticated? really? A trip-wire-triggered gun-powder, flammable liquids and loose ammunition room-sized IED is sophisticated?)
A grad student who got an NIH grant could easily have a spare $5K — even without that, science grad students generally get paid full tuition plus a stipend as TAs or research assistants and can take out fat student loans if they feel short of cash, so even though he was dropping out, he probably had leftover money from his
first year in grad school.
Generally folks who even make it into doctoral programs in the sciences (esp. ones which are ‘hot’ like neuroscience and therefore have lots of applicants) are really smart, that and the internet will get you the training to do a hell of a lot of stuff without anyone backing you.
Personally, I suspect he’ll turn out to be schizophrenic (early to mid 20’s is typical time for onset) and his dropping out and going on the murder spree were both occasioned by insanity, which, alas, didn’t rob him of his intelligence and ability to plan.
Ramadan started on July 20th BTW
The author is either off his meds or a crackpot. Sounds like he’s been listening Alex Jones too much.
The battle gear appears to have just been a costume. I believe people were encouraged to come in costume.
Those eyes tell me this guy was probably brainwashed by someone or even by himself, a med student can get all kinds of mood enchantment drugs, and with subliminal aids such as when he sleeps could have effectively brainwashed himself.
Though I believe he had a secret mentor, funder and tutor.
Much like Obama had.

1) Student loans and grants
2) The internet
All he had to do was go to an estate auction to find all that stuff ~ cheap!
Having had a lot of experience with a mentally ill family member, a lot of the time their actions “don’t add up”. Their logic defies any rational explanation.
Just because they are mentally ill, doesn’t mean they can’t be smart. They can be extremely cunning and capable.
So, do you think that boot licking, incoherent, panty waste of a Governor would not just turn him over to the feds if Obama, Holder and Napolotano said so?
See my post #34.
The blogger pulled the $20K figure out of thin air, and he wasn’t an “unemployed medical student”: He was a Ph.D. student who’d been awarded a grant during his first year, and thus at least had leftover money from student loans, even if he didn’t (as is likely in the sciences) have a full-ride on tuition plus a stipend from the university.
“Because hes nuts?”
The author of this article or the shooter? It might apply in both cases.
However, there is one exception ~ just tell them "so and so is headed for the White House and we don't know what will happen".
Usually you'll get them back without bail provided you promise to take them to the nearest mental health outpatient clinic in the morning.
I"ve seen this done.
Now, if you don't have a White House around that could be a problem.
IMHO, the tear gas, mask, and armor betray his motives.
He began acquiring the weapons a couple of months ago.
He might not have fully thought things out until about a month ago.
If he simply wanted to kill alot of people, he probably could have picked easier forums to conduct that activity.
I suspect he had watched too many movies, like the Bourne series, or other vigilante films, thinking he could create hysteria, smoke, and SWAT response, then simply walk out in the mayhem without being challenged by appearing to be a first responder.
When things didn’t go fully the way he intended he simply surrendered. I suspect it was just for notoriety or publicity, but no intention of being threatened himself.
Fully premeditated with an intention to live through the event, possibly escaping in the mayhem.
It makes no sense at all to prepare to kill a bunch of people and then to buy nearly 100X the ammo than he could use or even carry.
Not familiar with the Colorado governor, but cannot imagine any reason why he or any federal politician would even consider doing such a thing. Quickest way to blow up a political career I can think of.
Since charges are handled on a local level, the only way the governor could interfere would be for him to pardon the guy.
You really think the governor would get out of the state alive?
Could be the story lodged in his mind.
Then there's Eric Rudolph ~ he set up "TWO FERS" ~ A small bomb or incident first, just enough to attract cops. Then a bigger bomb to kill cops. He almost got a bunch of them at the abortion mill but they set their doughnut box up on the far side of a trash dumpster, so when it went off they were protected.
The apartment bomb could have teen stage two.
