Rasmussen: Among Military Vets: Romney 59% Obama 35%

Most military veterans don’t like the job President Obama is doing and prefer Mitt Romney in November’s election.

New Rasmussen Reports polling finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters who have served in the military favor the Republican challenger, while 35% support the president. Five percent (5%) of these voters like some other candidate in the race, but only two percent (2%) are undecided.

vets is way too broad a groupfor these numbers to have any meaning. george mcgovern is a vet, ollie north is a vet, i am a 60 year old vet and the 22 year old rifleman is a vet. don’t assume vet means active duty.

Less than 20% of the Army is considered combat arms and probably only about 8% trigger pullers. The 59% pro-Romney includes a lot of pac clerks. However, the ratios are certainly skewed. I don't have any data, but I would be willing to bet a big fat wad of cash that the majority of the 35% Obama supporters are minorities. Many military minorities are actually fairly conservative, but they're still stuck on the democrat plantation.

I am still hoping above hope that most people responding to polls are saying they support Obama because they don't want to sound racist, but they will either secretly vote Romney or not vote. I simply cannot fathom how 46% can support a demonstrable TOTAL failure. Even the pompom waivers are having a desparate time pointing out Obama's accomplishments or explaining away the economy.

trying to get more homo’s , cross dressers in the military is one tactic to make this establishment more of a Dem voting bloc.
While they do this the left tries to get more illegals into the country and once they have completed their agenda especially the queer agenda then they will go after guns and have total control and that is when America goes to a third world country.

So if anone ever stays silent on the queer agenda or does not speak up on the lefts agenda then they are only helping the left and being a coward

You’re exactly right.

I hate to admit that I personally know anyone like this, but I have an in-law (sort of) who is career Army, and he is the very type you mentioned — and is also a loyal obama supporter (of course).

Judging by some of the conversations I’ve had with him, he has a lot of buddies who are just like him.

And as you said, they’re the office worker types who basically keep busy doing what amounts to nothing.

Don;t forget the cross dressers, queers, and others who couldn’t careless about the country but have joined to get a trade like a cook and never do much work.

maybe it is because four tours of duty of - over a year long -under fire - may be a bit hard on the mental picture folks in the military have of our world. AS a VET I can say that having “friends” gunned down a buddy in an office building or a forward base would make me a bit hostile toward the citizens of the country we are helping AND the folks that send me and my buddies to this type of war.

We all need to call our representatives and make sure they GET THE BALLOTS SENT OUT in time. There should be NO EXCUSES for ballots, due in November, to not be sent and gotten back in time for the election.
