WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Dianne Feinstein says the nation needs to have a "sane" discussion on gun control and ban military-style assault weapons. But the California Democrat acknowledges that probably won't happen before the November election.
Feinstein tells "Fox News Sunday" that "people haven't rallied" in years because of the power and reach of the gun lobby, and that with the election looming, "it's a bad time to embrace a new subject."

IOW, the voters won’t go for taking away their right to bear arms. Imagine that.
After all, we have the example of how well strict gun control is working in places like Chicago, Washington, DC and New York City. Not to mention Norway.
Whether it's the 2nd, 5th or 14th (the Due Process Clause prohibits state and local governments from depriving persons of ***life***, liberty, or property without certain steps being taken to ensure fairness) amendment, Diane "Assault Weapons" Feinstein hates them all.
I think the technical term used by many leftists, democrats and other GFW's is "Scary Black Rifles".

Honestly, with the UN Arms Treaty looming and Ubama going to Colorado at about the time the Treaty Signing is at hand. We all know his propensity to have his decisions made by others until he gets credit. Here is his chance to blame his evolution to banning guns on the sorrow he felt while doing photo-ops with the victim’s families.
But, if Senator Diane is already running away, the polling is so bad for gun control that she sees every possibility that an anti-gun rant could be a real tsunami quake in the upcoming election.
I suspect that we may get the I feel your pain battleground state, photo-op speech and hell you and I get to pay for it.

i agree. if it doesn’t shoot full autto IT ISN’T AN ASSAULT WEAPON. and they are magazines not clips. the way the language has been corrupted and abused by lazy pseudo-intellectuals makes me want to puke. if a carpenter used his tools the way most so-called school trained (indoctrinated) use their tools (words) he wouldn’t have any work.

I saw the show. Feinstein quoted some stats that claimed over 300 people have died since the ban was not renewed.
Then, demonstrating that he will not ask questions that haven’t been pre-approved, Wallace failed to ask, “And how do those statistics compare to the years when the ban was in effect, Senator?”

Just as soon as we can find a “sane” person in DC to have this discussion with....Since we don’t have any sane people there, we won’t be having the discussion.
