However, I’d advise him to stick with what he knows, because as the old Chinese proverb states, “Better to keep your mouth closed and have others believe you to be a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.”

Too late! Now we all know that Jason is more like George Costanza than anyone would want to admit. lol

This is one pursuit of happiness

That is all you need to justify owning it.

There is no "sporting purpose" or requirement to demonstrate "need" as the gun grabbers imply.

Mr. Alexander has good reason for anxiety about his “gun.”

LOL

I took my 30.06 in the pool and when I came out it was an AR-15! /s

Is it not astonishing how we never, ever hear a liberal regaling the Constitution. It is their impediment to life. They (especially obama) want to impose their own vapid code on all of us while they are a law unto themselves. Oprah wants gun control while she has body guards who carry. Obama wants gun control for all except those who protect him. Their duplicity and hypocrisy is beyond believable.

...how did the media get all the info on the alleged shooter so fast?

He was arrested right after the shooting, so his name was known. It's just ABC's Brian Ross and George Stepalloverus that got the info wrong, perhaps on purpose, trying their damnedest to tie the murderer to the Tea Party. Once he had been identified properly, they simply checked the local colleges and universities, seeing that he was of college age and the rest was fairly easy and straight forward fact checking, which apparently Brian Ross is incapable of.......................yes, I know I ended that sentence with a preposition................

Commercial .223 ammo is sold in 20 rd boxes. I like a reliable 20 rd mag with a good follower. There are some unreliable followers that jam easily. The 30 rd is even more susceptible to a jam. A cheap magazine is no bargain.

Actually, 8700 FIREARMS related murders in 2011. Dufus wasn’t even close to being close. He was off by 91,000 people.

If you include medics and other medical and support personnel, yeah, I can see 7 or more........either way, the enemy is diminished in effectiveness...

That's the western mindset, that the individual human life has value. I'll bet a lot of our enemies would only consider treating those able to be returned to combat, and allow the others their martyrdom.

The most likely scenario is that the shooter wouldn't have tried this in the first place.

With all due respect, it appears from all the protective gear he wore that he expected resistance.

SECURE AMERICA said: "Remember these people had just fought a war with their Government."

Yes. And even more tellingly, the shooting started in Lexington and Concord when their own government sent government troops to confiscate the arms of the militia.

Those who refuse to to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Anti-gun liberals are in a shaky position. Within days of the outbreak of a civil war caused by gun confiscations, every liberal in the country will be wanting to buy arms to protect themselves. Didn't Charleton Heston have liberal friends hoping to borrow arms during the L.A. riots?
