Limbaugh: GOP establishment pushing ‘to take Bachmann out’
The Daily Caller ^ | 07/23/2012 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 07/23/2012 4:21:07 PM PDT by CaptainKrunch

On his Monday radio program, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh attacked Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain’s floor speech castigating Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and some of her colleagues for raising questions about top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, saying “there’s an effort by the Republican establishment to take Bachmann out.”

Limbaugh cited a weekend National Review piece by former U.S. Attorney Andrew  McCarthy that said there are legitimate questions about Abedin and her association with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood.

“The Muslim Brother is not a harmless little offshoot here,” Limbaugh said. “They’re not the mainstream where the others are the kooks. They’re all together. Bachmann’s inquiry is justified, and there’s no reason to tar and feather her. It’s a legitimate question to want to know if one of Hillary Clinton’s top aides poses a national security threat because of her husband’s ties to Muslim Brotherhood. That’s all they’re asking and McCain and the Republican establishment in the Senate went to the floor to trash Bachmann.”

The criticism also led Limbaugh to say there is an effort by “the Republican establishment” to take out the tea party congresswoman.

McCain was insane to think he had a chance to become President and he hurt the Republican Party. I had to vote for him but only because of Palin. He is an insane little man. His past means very little when it is deluded with his thoughtless crap.

My E-mail to BOR this morning:

Here ya go Bill. Let’s see if you are REALLY looking out for us folks, or if you are sold out to the Islamists like Boehner, Washington and the REST of the media is:

Don’t worry about me. I’m not gonna hold my breath waiting on you to cover it. You guys prefer being all lathered up about a guy killing a dozen people in Colorado instead of an issue the places our entire nation and way of life at risk. You are every bit as much a blowhard as the empty suit national security threat currently occupying the Oval Office.

There are so few statesmen and true patriots these days. You might surprise me, but you couldn’t possibly disappoint me. Michelle Bachmann has more backbone than you, the MSM and Washington has all put together.

McCain is a war hero. But he’s a lot like a blue-blooded (not to mention arrogant and bad-tempered) Forrest Gump, borderline retarded.

I think conservatives have probably been seeing the same thing from McCain over the last few decades that McCain's fellow American prisoners probably saw in the Hanoi Hilton.

McInsane is a petty, deluded, bitter, self-righteous old man who has way too much become a legend in his own mind. He ought to quit and go back home to Arizona and enjoy his retirement instead of plaguing the rest of us with his self-serving antics.

Sure, he was a war hero and should be saluted for that. However, he has proved time and time again his five minutes of fame were up ten minutes ago and he should pack it in.

He's not as bad as most Dimocrats in the Senate. But after all, who could possible compete with the abominable likes of Franken, Schumer, Feinstein, Reid, Leahy, etc., ad naseum?

But that is cold porridge to we who expect more from him. He should be standing up for America, not looking for novel ways to further destroy us. Liberal bottom feeders are already doing a fine job of that.

Actually, the other POWs that were in camp with him said that he sold out almost immediately after he got to camp. Definitely not a war hero.

McCain is a war hero.

**********

Our definition of “hero” is becoming debased. WW II saw many American POW’s, but they were not considered war heroes. McCain stoically survived his incarceration in N. Vietnam after his plane was shot down, but that does not make him a war hero.

I wish Bachman would say exactly what you said... “He is an insane little man”. I held my nose and voted for him because of Palin. Personally, I don’t think anyone voted FOR mccain. They either voted FOR Palin or AGAINST obama.

And by the way, I won’t be holding my nose when I vote next time.

Yet most people on here say they will vote for Romney because of ABO. All a Romney win will do will be to strengthen the GOPe. Romney will push his socialist lite ideas and instead of stopping him (like they do to Obama) the GOP will approve everything Romney wants. I will NOT be part of letting that happen. I will vote conservatives down ticket but will NEVER vote mini Obama.

McCain is a war hero because he was a POW or because he crashed his plane onto the Forrestal which started the most damaging shipboard fire on any US warship since WWII?

I still don’t get this “war hero” stuff. It’s like saying, “wow, look over there, a fireman, he’s a hero” that cop standing over there writing a parking ticket, “he’s a hero”

Bachmann was inquiring how someone so high in the state department was given security clearance with the family connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. I wish they would also question the state department spending large amount of funding to Muslim countries.

WHY REP. BACHMANN MIGHT BE RIGHT ABOUT HUMA ABEDIN

......1. Abedin's mother is not only a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, but also sits on the Guidance Board of the organization. This makes her not only a member of the Muslim Brotherhood's female auxiliary, but also a prestigious member.

2. Another member of the Muslim Sisterhood's Guidance Bureau is Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi's wife, which means Abedin's mother and the wife of an renowned Muslim Brotherhood member are in regular and frequent contact.

3. Lastly, Abedin's brother, Hassan Abedin, has allegedly collaborated with Omar Naseef and Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, two of the most influential terror supporters in the world.

I like Bachmann, I was fully in support of Governor Perry and she reamed him pretty good, but I still appreciate her spunk and she is an excellent ‘speaker’ in my mind.

I just got a meatloaf put into the oven, my accomplishment, lolol

I know that talk of a third party is forbidden during the presidential cycle, but I predict that it is a sure thing after the election. Even if Romney is elected I feel that he is going to be so willing to “compromise” that we are going to be ready to make the mve and we will be in a position to take a few seats in the HOuse. Just a caucus of about 20 or 30 seats, in this environment, would force them to listen to us for a change.

McCain may have been a hero once, but that was looooong ago.

The damage he has done to the country has negated any heroism he may have claimed at an earlier time in his life.

McCain, go away.

Bachmann? Hell Romney, RINOs and Rockefeller republicans have made it perfectly clear they don’t like conservatives. They don’t like me but they beg me to vote for them or support them financially or through volunteering for them.

SCREW THEM! HERE IT IS DANGLING! I GOT CHYER RINO AGENDA RIGHT CHERE!

If Romney is elected I will be on his case from the word go unless he institutes a conservative agenda. He won’t! 2016 the socialists will have an easy ride. Might even get another BO term...or worse.

And consrvative opposition to Romney will be used against him so it will be my fault for not sitting on my hands and going along to get along.

I SPIT AT THE REPUBLICAN RINO’S!

I know that talk of a third party is forbidden during the presidential cycle, but I predict that it is a sure thing after the election.

The centerpiece of Romney's campaign is his promise to repeal "Obamacare". I can promise that, the first time we hear him saying "we don't want to throw it all out, we need to keep the good parts..." the third party is born.

At least for me, I can say that on that day I am out.

One of the follow on posts at *your* link says it all:

“The flight deck video footage of the USS Forrestal fire is a classic, and has been shown to every member of the US Navy during shipboard fire fighting classes. John McCain’s plane is clearly visible in the video. If you knuckle heads would watch the film, you would know he had nothing to do with starting the fire. If there was something to your allegations it would have been all over the liberal press by now.”
