In an effort to make good on President Barack Obamas commitment to green energy, the United States Air Force spent $639,000 on 11,000 gallons of alcohol-to-jet fuel from Gevo Inc., a Colorado biofuels company, at $59 a gallon.
The cost of petroleum is presently $3.60 a gallon.
Similarly, in preparation for last week's "Green Fleet Demonstration, the U.S. Navy purchased $12 million in biofuels to prove that a carrier strike group could be run on biofuels for the day. Its all part of the Obama Administrations decision last year to direct the Navy, Agriculture department, and the Energy department to spend $510 million in taxpayer monies on alternative jet and marine fuels.

The entire military command structure is in the tank big time with all this homosexual nonsense.
Look for degradation going total before long.
Would they have enough arable land on the base to do it? It’s one thing to create biodiesel from the fruited plain. It’s another one to try it in Afghan desert.
Here’s what the best of breed look like. In time they’ll be able to put these down anywhere there’s plenty of sunlight and CO2.

The trick in a solar fed photosynthetic brewing process would be to retain as much of the water as possible in the system. This thing WILL consume water as biomass is created; the elements are incorporated into the biomass.

The easiest way to handle the supply chains in Afghanistan and Iraq is to get the hell out of there. Ten years in a war is a loosing proposition, no matter how you look at it. Unless of course you stand to make a lot of money from the war. I don’t support Obama but our country needs to bring our men and women home. Those people in those countries could care less about us or our safety.
