Hugo Chavez on Obama: He's the Good Guy
Townhall.com ^ | July 23, 2012 | Katie Pavlich

Mitt Romney is the extremist and Barack Obama is a good guy according to Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez.

“I believe the person to best explain the loser’s agenda isn’t Barack Obama but rather Romney, because it’s the extreme right-wing agenda that borders on the fascism of the United States,” Chavez told tens of thousands of supporters in the western city of Maracaibo.

“In the end, it’s the same project,” Chavez said, referring to Obama as “a good guy.”

Yes you read that right, Hugo Chavez is lecturing us about the dangers of fascism in the United States. These comments come just two weeks after President Obama said publicly that Chavez doesn't pose a serious threat to the United States.

"We're always concerned about Iran engaging in destabilizing activity around the globe. But overall my sense is that what Mr. Chávez has done over the last several years has not had a serious national security impact on us," Obama said.

Mitt Romney begged to differ, which is probably why Chavez isn't on his side.

This is a stunning and shocking comment by the President. It is disturbing to see him downplaying the threat posed to U.S. interests by a regime that openly wishes us ill. Hugo Chavez has provided safe haven to drug kingpins, encouraged regional terrorist organizations that threaten our allies like Colombia, has strengthened military ties with Iran and helped it evade sanctions, and has allowed a Hezbollah presence within his country’s borders. And he is seeking to lead – together with the Castros – a destabilizing, anti-democratic, and anti-American ‘Bolivarian Revolution’ across Latin America. President Obama’s remarks continue a pattern of weakness in his foreign policy, one that has emboldened adversaries and diminished U.S. influence in every region of the world. As president, I will speak clearly and resolutely on the challenges we face so that both our allies and our adversaries will know where we stand.

I figure if you made a list of the 20 top rogue a-holes in the world today and asked them their choice in the upcoming election, the percentage favoring this mama’s-boy president would exceed that of even the black vote.

That ought to tell you something...

All this time I'd been led to believe he didn't care for that "sulfurus smell" that followed GWB.
