Boston Mayor Thomas Menino wants to restrict a single private business, Chick-Fil-A, from opening any franchises in Boston. His reported remarks were,
“Chick-fil-A doesn’t belong in Boston. You can’t have a business in the city of Boston that discriminates against a population. We’re an open city, we’re a city that’s at the forefront of inclusion.” ==========================================
I have not eaten meat or fowl since 1991 but wanted to give support to Chick-Fil-A in the battle against the gay fascists and Boston Mayor Menino. So, I went to my local restaurant in Upland, CA and got a bag of their incredible chocolate chunk cookies.
It was about 12:30 and the place was packed with customers. When the counter girl was about to give me my cookies, the other lady who brought them to her decided to take them back because she didn't like how they looked. How about that; they wanted to make sure they were perfect for me.
I really appreciated the good service and great American flag. On the wall were phone numbers to call the national HQ and the local manager in charge. So, I called the local guy to give my support, explained that I don't eat meat, but came in to buy a bag of cookies to give them support. The guy said, "All I want to do is sell sandwiches." He wishes the controversy never occurred. I told him he has the support of the majority of people (particularly in my community) and he shouldn't listen to the left wing fascists. He told me that the comments made his day.
Call your local restaurant. Give them your support in the battle against the heavy hand of government trying to suppress free speech.
The photo below shows the store on a Sunday. That is why you do not see any activity. It is closed on Sunday.

Menino is full of himself and full of it. The company does not discriminate in hiring or serving the public. If they did that, he would have a valid argument. In this country, you are allowed to have a political opinion without the government trying to prevent you from doing business.
Ate there tonight. So, the CEO is a professed Christian. Not once has he said anything about “discriminating” against anyone.
I'm not a big Huckabee fan, but I read that he is organizing "Chik-Fil-A Day" on that date to try and get as many people as possible to show support for the chain.
I also am not a big Facebook fan, but my understanding is that there is a petition on Facebook to sign up and show support.
I use to go to the Upland all the time!!

My husband shot off emails to his co-workers and the one in Corona will get a lot of business Wednesday.
If you don’t eat chicken, their waffle fries are yum! Good coffee too, and they make it fresh often.
We ate at the Chick Fil A in Nashua, NH last Saturday. Will go again next week-end.
Just moved from CA to TX, had never heard of Chick Fil A until a few days ago. Ate there for the first time tonight. Great fast food, nice store, great service.

They’re closed on Sunday? ALL fast food workers who are off on any sunday should go to church with them. A guaranteed Sunday off every week would be one of the FEW things one could count on these days.
I will support this fine company. I know a guy who has hunted with the CEO, says that he is a great guy, does a lot for kids.

Interesting that the only Chick-Fil-A in my state is at Western Washington University (a liberal bastion). Wonder how they’re doing through this? Oh, and I just got the Chick-Fil-A name pun.
We eat at Chick-Fil-A often. Their sandwiches are good, they have great ice tea, and always have great service.

I agree, what a wonderful way to run a business if closing on Sunday’s is doable.
There are only 2 CFAs in MA, one of which is in Burlington Mall. Our daughter and I are going to a concert in Somerville MA on the first, and the Burlington Mall is kinda on the way, so we're gonna make the detour! I LOVE their waffle fries, and I haven't had them in years! And we'll have to buy some of those cookies to bring back home for hubby and younger son for a late night snack!
There’s one practically next door to the place I will soon be working on contract in Germantown, MD. Won’t have the budget to go there until I get my first pay check, but I can eagerly anticipate.

Lafayette, Louisiana has two locations, but there’s a slight problem. They’re so busy during lunchtime that you have to wait on line in your vehicle just to get into the parking lot.
Although I did not last long working at a Chick Fil A about 35 years ago....they still have my respect and support for staying true to a lot of their convictions (not open on Sunday)

Mayor Thomas Menino (Heretic) apparently is attacking religious freedom, free enterprise, and common sense. Same sex couples living together are friends. For same sex couples sexual union can only be achieved by means of sexual perversion.
Perhaps the mayor did not learn that in school.
His job, as mayor, is to protect the health, security, and safety of the people of Boston.
Supporting sexual perversion leads to serious mental and physical health risks both to the participants and the people at large.
He is choosing to put the city at risk to support sexual perversion by pretending that sexual union between same sex couples is normal. And that, if you disagree, you are discriminating against a population. Is that the behavior of someone with an ordered mind and common sense?
The incompetent and foolish mayor should resign in disgrace, IMO.

They are apparently big on college campuses. I don’t live near one but will have to make a special trip to a neighboring state on August 1st to support this company.

The Boston Redevelopment Assoc, the BRA, in full hypocritical regale, cut a sweet land deal with the homophobic, gay marriage hating Muslims. They were allowed to purchase a $2 mil property for $175K down and some idiotic promises to do fund raising community service activities. So that’s the liberal “math” and it doesn’t hav to add up so long as they get their way.

August 1st: Support Chick-Fil-A Day!
I’m in! In fact, I have to go to the gun range that day, so I’ll make the day a double-header.
I noted that one location is in the student union at Minnesota State University Mankato (I’m an alumnus). This is the same student union where student funds were used to install Muslim foot baths in the restrooms. Catholics must however go off campus to the local Newman Center for holy water fonts... separation of church and state you know. I expect that campus leftists will soon e demanding it be closed. Ditto for the two location on the campus of the University of Minnesota
