I think we are inviting Gods judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage and I pray Gods mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about. ~ Dan Cathy, President, Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A is a family-owned, family-run business which is guided by explicitly biblical business principles and even closes on Sunday in honor of what the Scriptures call the Lords day.
Chick-fil-A started in 1967 and has recorded 44 straight years of sales growth. It now has more than 1,600 restaurants in 39 states and Washington, D.C. and plans to open 77 stand-alone restaurants and 15 licensee locations in 2012.
President Dan Cathy, who to this point has been somewhat reticent in publicly declaring his and his companys opposition to sodomy-based marriage, is now about to experience the full wrath of the homosexual lobby.
There is plenty of hate in the debate over same-sex marriage, but its not coming from the pro-family community, for the simple reason that disagreement is not hatred. But there is a volcanic level of vitriol and venom that spews like magma from the darkened hearts of homosexual activists. Chick-fil-A is about to find out what it is like to be Pompeii.

And I plan to buy Chick fil a Gift cards at their stores and send them to friends and relatives!
Good plan....so will I.
From the Family Research Council:
We’ll Support Chick-Fil-A, Come What Mayo!
Boston may be where America fought for its freedoms—but now, it’s a city where businesses can’t even exercise them! That’s all thanks to city Mayor Tom Menino, who is making it known that private companies aren’t welcome inside the city limits unless they share his politically narrow views. Last week, after Chick-Fil-A’s CEO Dan Cathy affirmed his belief in man-woman marriage, Menino promised to single-handedly block the chain from Boston.
Despite the fact that Cathy’s views are his own—and ignoring the company’s pledge to “treat every person with honor, dignity, and respect”—the Mayor insists, “You can’t have a business in the city of Boston that discriminates against a population.” (Apparently, you can have a mayor that does). “We’re an open city,” Menino told the Boston Herald, “We’re a city that’s at the forefront of inclusion.” (Until, of course, that “inclusion” applies to people who support traditional marriage.) Surprising even the Herald staff, Mayor Menino threatened to use his political power for his personal vendetta against the Cathys, vowing to play hardball with Chick-Fil-A’s permits if it ever decided to open a restaurant in the area. “If they need licenses in the city, it will be very difficult—unless they open up their policies.”
For the government to engage in viewpoint discrimination is not only bad politics—it’s unconstitutional. Chick-fil-A may be a private company, but that doesn’t mean it has to surrender its beliefs at the dining room door. Under the First Amendment, executives at Chick-Fil-A are just as entitled as any American to speak publicly about their views. The editors at the Boston Herald agree. In a joint column, they write that the condemnation of “such an abuse of government power” should be “swift” and “overwhelming.” “In Menino’s city, the punishment for failing to toe the progressive line is banishment.” Ironically, that’s exactly the kind of despotism that Boston ‘s patriots were fighting more than 230 years ago. Increasingly, though, it is becoming apparent that this kind of ideological totalitarianism is the train that follows same-sex “marriage.”
Even academia, which prided itself on intellectual freedom, is showing no tolerance for truth—even when that truth is empirically established. Mark Regnerus, the sociologist behind a sweeping study on same-sex parenting, is learning the hard way what it means to cross the liberal elite. His research, which outlines some negative outcomes of growing up in a homosexual household, has been annihilated by the Left—despite being the only gold-standard study of its kind. (Read the chilling story of Regnerus’s life, post-publication, here.)
Anyone who thinks that redefining marriage will satisfy homosexual activists hasn’t been paying attention. There is no appeasing this minority until the only freedom that exists in America is the freedom to agree with the radical Left. In the meantime, show your support for a company that insists on operating by its principles. Join Gov. Mike Huckabee next Wednesday, August 1, for Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day. Stop by your local chain and show Mayor Menino that America is hungry for more corporate leadership like Dan Cathy’s!
I don’t do fast food and haven’t since 1998. However, if this escalates I pledge to eat one full “meal type” menu item at Chick-fil-A each week.
I really doubt that a gay boycott of CFA would be noticed.
However, they and their ideological father will not allow any opposition to exist, so they’ll inexorably try to root out any holdouts.
I’m in. The gay “rights” movement long ago became a crazy group of thugs. I’ve seen them force people out of business on a smaller scale, in Philadelphia just for contributing to Rick Santorum’s senate campaign.
All these “victims” groups have become far from it, they are vicious anti social people.
Romans 1:20++ eat that beef ya self-worshiping queertards.
[August 1 as National Eat at Chick Fil A day....I plan to do that!! ]
Good to know. Me too.
CFA is my 10 YO son's favorite fast food place...he loves the chicken nuggets, which are 100% chicken breast.
If you’re sick of “gay”, have a Chick-fil-a!
He’s a thought criminal, burn him at the stake!!
So tempted to counter protest and hold a Mock Trial finding him guilty of a thought crime and sentance him to death by the state....
To slightly missquote Walter, going to a fast food joint for a salad is like going to a whore for a hug.
Thank you. Have marked my calendar and will participate.
As I understand, the Pink Mafia is planning a "kiss=in" at some Chick-fil-A stores. It's not enough for them to just boycott, they have to go in and disrupt.
I’m not a customer but I might just have to become one!
August 1 is my birthday. Fitting.
I love the gift card idea, since the nearest store is a bit of a drive. Aug 1st is a Wednesday.. So buy gift cards this weekend and load them up on Wednesday.. I work.
