Allen West launches emotional TV ad 'Body Armor'

"Allen West Saved My Life" is the emotional message in the third TV ad "Body Armor," released today by the West for Congress campaign. The following quotes come from the campaign press release introducing the ad.(VIDEO following)

"There are few greater examples of service and sacrifice than putting your own life at risk to protect that of another. That is what Lieutenant Colonel Allen West did in 2003 when he gave his body armor to Sergeant Robert Delgado shortly before their unit moved into Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom," said Tim Edson, Campaign Manager for Allen West.

I've heard him speak a few times and met him once. This is exactly the kind of man he is! He is tough, but very caring and honorable. He's not perfect, but I think he is exactly what America needs right now.

My son was in Iraq twice in the early years. In the beginning-most did not have proper helmet liners either causing needless, preventable, head injuries. They had to buy their own or use the crappy one issued to them. There was a doctor who had a son over there that started collecting money to send bunches of good ones to units that did not have them. Just one of the outrages that went/goes on while the number of bottom feeders over here increased/increases by leaps and bounds.
