The unemployment rate in the city of Chicago is approximately 9.8 percent, well above the national average. Since Monday night, one 17-year-old boy has been shot and 13 others have been wounded in shootings across the city. And that’s just the most recent wave of shootings to plague the city – dozens more have been shot over the last few weeks.

And Mayor Rahm Emanuel is taking action: he’s banning Chick-Fil-A.

This isn't going to go away. I've read their "reasoning" and thought carefully about what they are doing, and it's a very old problem. We are facing yet another aspect of evil. Evil never goes away, it just changes how it presents itself. I will be standing up to them calmly but persistently. I will not be quiet when they allow their pathology to intrude into polite conversation or normal social situations. I will speak up, whether about how much I enjoy Chick-Fil-A food or about how important I consider real marriage in sustaining civilization. At least in my presence, I will respond calmly but firmly in a manner that makes this attack on morality a net negative for the far left.
