Congressman Danny Davis, Illinois Democrat, who represents Chicago's west side disagreed with Mayor Rahm Emanuel and local Chicago Democrat Ald. Joe Moreno who are looking to block restaurant chain "Chick-fil-A" from opening up any further businesses in the city due to the company's CEO support of traditional marriage.

"I think people should have the right to believe whatever it is they believe. That’s what America is about. That’s what America promotes. That’s what I believe and I think my rights end where the next person’s rights begin," Rep. Davis told me on Thursday.

“Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members. And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values,” Emanuel said Wednesday.

This is so stupid! So, we must all have the same beliefs now? If you disagree with someone it’s disrespectful? All of Chicago believes in gay marriage? Come on!

The other thing I can’t stand is the way this is being reported. I have friends posting to facebook how they will never eat at Chick Fil A again because they discriminate!! As if they won’t serve someone who looks like they could be gay. I’m so sick of this “stuff”!!

So, are there any “muslim” businesses that should be banned? And they should ban all gay bars. I mean, after all, to these people homosexualism is apparently a religion.

Is it possible for Illinois to secede from Chicago?

At least this guy either gets it, or is smart enough to realize. But more likely would lose out on a bribe.

For the most part, Leftists have the following caveat concerning religious freedom:

Believe whatever you want, but you have no right to put your beliefs into practice, even if the practice is deciding not to do something.

Is it possible this guy is in a competitive district?

(Chicago, I know, what am I saying?)

He sounds like a guy who is afraid of Toxic Baraq Syndrome.
Or in this case dying of Rhambo Fever.

FYI, Louis Farrakhan recently opened a restaurant.

In Chicago.

Remember all the hue and cry from Emanuel?

Yeah, me neither.

Now that all the surrounding states are armed, we could launch an invasion of Chicago.

I wonder what Detroit thinks about banning tax paying businesses based on religious convictions? I imagine they would offer tax incentives even to the Schutzstaffel Schnitzel Shop right about now.

I'm also wondering how many existing, tax paying businesses in Chicago have similar religious convictions? Perhaps Rahm & Co. would like those businesses to leave town, taking their jobs & tax payments elsewhere. Maybe queer fudge shops can fill the void.

I just love it when a Liberal has a fully loaded automatic in his hand, safety off, & pointed at his own foot.

Good for him for taking this stand. It is the only right stance on this issue.
