Jerry Sandusky Shower Victim Comes Forward, Says He Will Sue

The man who was seen being sexually assaulted in the Penn State showers by Jerry Sandusky in 2001 has come forward and identified himself to attorneys, who say that he plans to sue the university.

A man claiming to be Victim 2, whom assistant coach Mike McQueary saw being molested in the shower by Sandusky, is being represented by four attorneys, including Joel Feller and Matt Casey of Philadelphia and Justine Andronici and Andrew Shubin of State College, according to a statement released by the attorneys today.

The man's name is not being released to the public, but his attorneys have posted on their website two voicemails that Sandusky allegedly left the man on his cell phone in 2011.

Is anyone really surprized that an obsessed pedophile like Sandusky was stupid enough to leave voicemails?

Things are going to get a lot worse for Penn State before they get better.

Me too! But even more importantly, Spannier, and all the rest of the “trash” in his administration need to be tried, stripped of everything they have, and sent to jail! There needs to be a serious message to school administrators that they are on the hook when this stuff goes on on their watch and they know about it.

I am not defending Penn State in any way, but I wonder about the plaintiff’s delay in filing a suite. If he had filed suite years ago, even when he was older he would at least brought attention to the situation and perhaps prevented further injury.
In a sense he was someone who knew about it and did nothing.

I truly believe we should have the death penalty for these crimes. The argument that they will just kill their victims doesn’t hold water. When they start dying they will think twice about their behavior. The kind of destruction they bring to a childs life is often time worse than death. There should be a no tolerance for any pedophile anywhere they are found.

At the time of the attack, the victim was a minor. Only his parents could have permitted him to come forward. I would not have permitted mine to come forward. I’d also have contemplated killing Sandusky as well.

I hope Victim 2 includes McQueary in that suit for not having directly intervened and taken Sanduskey and Victim 2 directly to the police.

They had a lawyer on a sports talk radio show a few months ago talking about this case. One of the interesting aspects of this case is how the statute of limitations applies -- and how it applies differently for children who were minors at the time of the incident.

I don't know what Pennsylvania law says about this, but 11 years seems like a long time in a civil lawsuit. Any PA lawyers out there want to chime in on this?
