KICK THEM IN THE ASS TGO!!!

Hmmm. Would it surprise anyone if I said that I likely know who this young man at NRO is talking to on Mike Rogers’ staff, as they also reached out to my producer? Would it surprise anyone if I said that, in fact, Michele Bachmann was threatened with losing her seat on the Intelligence Committee, as Glenn Beck announced on his show, but that the GOP leadership has now backed off given the backlash from conservatives? Would it surprise anyone if, in fact, it was not only Rogers, but, yes, Boehner, who was pressuring Bachmann?

Based on my own extensive sources, Boehner was neither a disinterested nor passive member. But somehow, NRO’s focus is in the wrong place, i.e., palace intrigue. The question is whether the Muslim Brotherhood, and other such groups, has influence in this administration, and whether the shabby treatment Israel receives, the recent visitors at the White House (the Muslim Brotherhood is, after all, a terrorist organization), or other policies, require are closer investigation by relevant Inspectors’ General? I say yes, as I assume most in law enforcement and national security, as well as most thinking Americans would. Moreover, why should such an investigation preclude an examination of officials who hold high office? The purpose of FBI background checks, required of all high level officials or officials is sensitive positions, is intended to ensure, among other things, that national interests aren't compromised, unintentionally or intentionally. Therefore, associations are clearly relevant, particularly family ties. This used to be a routine process. Is it today?

I should add that based on the recent writings of NRO’s Andy McCarthy here:http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/310198/questions-about-huma-abedin-andrew-c-mccarthyand here http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/312211/huma-abedin-s-muslim-brotherhood-ties-andrew-c-mccarthy that Huma Abedin, the source of so much defensiveness among Republicans on Capitol Hill, would not likely have passed her security clearance in the Reagan Administration. I cannot say so with 100% certainty, however, I worked with the FBI when the agency vetted high level presidential and political appointments at the Department of Justice. The issue is not whether someone has committed some dishonorable act or crime, but the possibility for influence, etc. If this administration has changed its procedures and standards, that would be worth knowing. If appointees have ties to neo-Nazis, the Klan, the Communist Party of China, etc., shouldn't we know? Is the Muslim Brotherhood an exception?
