US White House spokesman Jay Carney refused to state the US position on the location of Israels capital during a press briefing, Thursday, despite several requests for clarification from a pair of reporters.
The exchange, caught on video and uploaded to YouTube, quickly made the cyberspace rounds as the latest example of world bodies refusal to name Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
In the video, a female reporter asks about the administrations position on the capital of Israel, as several other reporters lightly chuckle.
I havent gotten that question in a while, Carney responds. Our position has not changed.
Carney tries to move on to another question but is hounded by the reporter and a man sitting next to her to expound on the position and whether the capital is Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.
You know our position, responds Carney.

liberals must deny reality
with new math they decided that 2+2=4 is a racist white male construct. and so on.
soon A,B,C, _ won’t be D, it might offend E
Remember when the lame stream media went nuts with ridicule because Sarah Palin couldn’t name the capital of lower Albania?
Now the Obama administration can’t name the capital of Israel and they are silent.

Are there any other countries whose capital we don’t
Bunch of nonsense, I hope our next President moves
the embassy to Jerusalem first thing.
And the New York Jews will still vote for him in huge numbers. And when Bloomberg asks for their guns they will turn them over again. Never ceases to amaze me.
Poor Carney. So torn. He knows that if he ever shows up in Israel his buds in Hezbollah are going to want him to carry a bomb for them, and my gosh, he doesn’t think he can refuse.
And yet they can name the capitals of Uruguay and Burkina Faso and so forth. Very puzzling...
For years our country tried to act like Taiwan was the Real China, when events had obviously overridden that assertion.
We got past that, and luckily still have Taiwan as an independent State and a friend. It might be time to figure out a way to state the obvious: Jerusalem is the seat of government for Israel. We don’t have to move the embassy there. We don’t have to like or agree with the Israeli decision on this. But it’s pretty stupid to deny the obvious just because we don’t want to offend some other nations that would be offended no matter what.
Romney would be well-advised to refer to the Carney press conference incident when he arrives in Israel within the next day or two.
Mark Levin really socked it to the Administration on Carney's lack of response. I wouldn't even call it a gaffe on Carney's part. Rather, it was more likely due to Carney's realization that if he said Jerusalem is the capital, he'd be unable to tap dance around that statement to mollify Obama's Islamist friends in the Middle East.
Obama considers the location of Israel’s capital a moot point.
When he gets done there won’t be an Israel.
This is not a joke.
Makes sense, actually. While Israelis understand Obama represents an existential danger, American Jews can indulge in the luxury of self-deception because of apparent safety.
Reminds me of the title of Meir Kahane's book: Uncomfortable Questions for Comfortable Jews.
Maybe they were confused - - you know, like naming one of the capitols in the 57 States.
Because of the Electoral College system, it really doesn't matter how NY Jews vote since the state will probably go to Zero by a fairly wide margin no matter what.
It's the Jews in Florida, and perhaps Ohio and Pennsylvania, who can swing those states away from Zero if they shift toward the GOP in significant numbers.
Romney will do much better than some past GOP candidates with the Jewish vote. He probably won't get a majority but 40% is a reasonable target.
Carney didn’t answer because it would have ended his career. To ACCURATELY say the capital is Jerusalem would have enraged the muzzies ..... to say, Tel Aviv would be fodder for the conservative media.
Either way he’s a dope in my book.
I can only guess and wonder how Carney can justify selling his honor, his dignity, his soul to be Obama’s whore. The pay must be great.
What a jackass? This guy would sell his mother if it would benefit the regime!!!!
(Thanks again for the pic!!)
It’s a great comment on Obama and his collection of Baghdad-Bob-guys, Jay Carney now, Robert Gibbs before.
If a member of the State Department says “Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel” three consecutive times, the Bet Hamikdash will descent from Heaven, and the Messianic Era will be at hand. They are, of course, terribly worried about the diplomatic repercussions of such a development, so they never say it even once.
Romney caused “controversy” by saying Jerusalem is the capital of Israel? That is a fact that can’t be disputed. Countries choose their own capitals.
Whether Hamas and Obama LIKE that it’s the capital or not is irrelevant.
talk about fake controversies....
Jerusalem being the capitol of Israel is?? how??
A devout Catholic is chosen for Archbishop... controversy??
Chik-fil-A’s CEO has an opinion?? is that a crime?
