Absolutely. He’s every bit as much a partner with Obama as Nancy and Harry and Mitch are.

One big team.

They are pretty effective going after Bachmann, though.

The only people that the GOP insiders attack are the conservatives.

I agree, He does have to go.

Quite p[ossibly the worst Speaker of the House in the history of the United States of America.

Worse than Pelosi, for Pelosi despite her being a liberal idiot used the position of power for her advantage, she knew how to work it and did.We all hated what Pelosi did, but Got damnit she used it.

Boehner hasn’t a clue as to the power he has or how to use it.He is a wimp cry-baby POS.

There is a reason why the 'Rats and the MSM haven't done to Boehner what they did to Newt, Livingston, etc. I gave Bonehead the (consistently dwindling) benefit of the doubt until I saw him on the golf course letting Barack Obama get away with playing the alpha dog to a nauseating degree. Then and there, my gut told me that the GOP House was being "led" by a testosterone-challenged mole. His behavior since then has strengthened my conviction.

He's not just a traitor to his oath, he's an embarrassing traitor to his oath.

Not a bad idea Arthur. But if you had to pay for health insurance by yourself, many could not.

Honestly, that is the plan. Companies will drop health care coverage, forcing people to buy their own policy or pay the “Tax”. Many will not be able to, and will DEMAND the State do something.

Bingo socialized medicine, without the Olympic fanfare.

She is not one of them. She didn’t go to the right schools, wasn’t raised in the right areas, and belongs to the wrong religion (conservative Lutheran). She can not be allowed to gain any more power.

They will drive her out, or in to jail for blasphemy against diversity, soon enough. She pointed out that Hillary the Lizard Queen’s main squeeze is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. That can not be allowed to stand in their view.

Everyone who now gets health insurance as a “benefit” would be able to afford to buy it, if the income tax were abolished, and all “benefits” were converted to salary.

And if a company stopped paying health insurance (which many will be soon), what makes you think they will pay more in salary?

That won’t happen. In fact, from what I have heard some will pay less, because of the “tax” (which will be collected from payroll).

Very few, if any, companies pass on the savings to their employees. That is not good business practice, and will get you in trouble if you are a publicly traded company. The stock holders want more return on their money, not less.

They will pay more in salary if they want to keep their employees. Economics 101.

Did you know that the Speaker does not need to be a Member of the House? Newt is eligible to be Speaker!

Econ 101. When you have an over supply, prices fall.

In case you haven't noticed, we are in a recession right now. Wages are stagnant or falling all over because, well, there are more people looking for jobs than there are jobs.

So employee retention is not very high on the priority list. So much so that cutting health care, if a lot of other companies do it also, will not hurt them that much.

As for paying the workers more, that did happen with contract workers at first. Since you didn't have to pay that worker's benefit package, you paid them a bit more. But even that is falling. And if you talk to many a consultant or freelancer, they don't have health insurance. Can't afford it because money isn't coming in all the time.

Of course, in the Obama Depression, wages are not rising, or even keeping pace.

Nevertheless, all other factors being equal, the repeal of the Sixteenth Amendment and abolition of the income tax, resulting in the withering away of “benefits,” will result in higher wages. For the simple reason that “benefits” are paid for out of the earnings of those who receive them.

We were not talking about repealing the income tax (which won't ever happen), but what will likely happen when companies stop paying health insurance and dump it on the government.

Wages will fall, because there will be an increase in taxes.

The Fedgov will not allow the 16th amendment to be repealed. It will not starve itself. In fact, I expect more attacks on wealth (401 K's being seized) soon.

As I said, all other things being equal, the elimination of any “benefits” will result in higher wages. Of course, higher taxes will be paid by employees—and consumers.
