An avid firearms collector in a deep-blue state making jokes about committing mass murder shortly after a mass murder incident?

There is a level of stupidity here that is simply mind-boggling. What did he think was going to happen?

In MD he will be released because he didn’t really “do” anything

His employer (the one whose brains he “joked” about splattering) will be sued to pay him severance and unemployment

No, the other way. The next mass killer in MD will get a free ride - this guy will never see another day as a free man.

I'm no lawyer and I sure don't know what the law is in Maryland, BUT I do know what this guy is definitely guilty of ...... STUPIDITY!

I don't think he was going to kill his boss or anyone else. He was just running his mouth. Free speech? Sure. So is saying the word BOMB on an airplane. Is it smart? No.

Just a phone call, with no actual process toward carrying it out, I doubt is a serious crime, if a crime at all. (There I go being a lawyer). Stupid is as stupid does.
