Gay rights group Equality Illinois is organizing a “Kiss-in” at Chick-Fil-A restaurants nation-wide in response to the statements by CEO Dan Cathy, who confessed he was “guilty as charged” when asked about his “support of the traditional family.”
CBS News reports that Cathy’s statement in a recent interview was:
“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that. We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.”
The fall out from the Chick-Fil-A CEO’s statement has been widespread, with people like Mike Huckabee joining in support with the company, but gay and lesbian rights groups urging people to boycott the restaurant for their lack of equality.
While the company itself has attempted to backtrack from Cathy’s comments, saying that they strive to “treat every person with honor, dignity and respect – regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender,” their attempts have been unsuccessful.
Equality Illinois has dubbed their campaign “Flick-the-Hate,” and the group is also urging people to sign a petition that will be geared toward universities and malls that host Chick-Fil-A restaurants. The group stated:
“As we challenge the company’s anti-LGBT policies, we must also ask these universities and mall owners why they want to do business with a company that holds up hate as a family value.”
A Facebook group has since been created with the title “National Same Sex Kiss Day At Chick Fil A,” and describes itself by saying:
“Unless you’ve been living under a rock this week you’ll have noticed that Chick Fil A has officially come out against the LGBTQ community. (For those of you who have been living under a rock, or just want to read it again, here’s the article http://www.latimes.com/business/money/la-fi-mo-chick-fil-a-gay-marriage-20120719,0,5713061.story)
“In honor of their support for love, equality, and the real definition of family, we’re holding a NATIONAL Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick Fil A’s around the country. So grab a friend (or 20) and head out to your nearest Chick Fil A! And don’t forget to post photos/videos of it here! For all the world to see!”
CBS Local notes that Equality Illinois is also urging that people make August 1 an “Eat For Love” day, where participants eat at restaurants that openly support gay marriage. They are asking that participants post where they are planning to stage their “kiss-in” protests, and to also send pictures.
Equality Illinois states that at the “kiss-in,” “LGBT supporters will show their disdain for Chick-Fil-A’s policies with public displays of affection in front of their restaurants.”

I don’t call that backtracking. I call it explaining the obvious. CFA is not going to check to see if you’re gay or straight before completing your order. It won’t deny employment if you’re gay. There is no harm being inflicted on gays or anyone else.

The "kiss-in" day is the day I would be going to a CFA, if I had one to go to, that is. I hope with all the money CFA is bringing in from this, they expand in Michigan.
We took-out Chick-Fil-A today across from Hollywood Hight School. The place was very crowded, but as the operation is so efficient it took practically now time at all. And the staff was very friendly, greeting me by name as I drove up to their pick-up window.
Swell service, swell food!

I think CFA should call for a counter protest, having married couples and families show up expressing affection.
The core issue is standards, not healthcare, taxes, or federal spending, which are all merely symptoms. Until standards - whether they be biblical, constitutional, or societal - are recognized and honored, nothing we do will hold together.

Oh I know. I spent a lot of time reading up and rifling through a lot of info for a book project. Most people do not understand how well organized, well funded, agenda driven and at how many levels the homo agenda is. And in seriousness, neither do most ‘normal’ homos.

“Chick Fil-A Protest” vids are starting to pop up on youtube. This is getting really huge, and by Wednesday the 1st of August on Chick Fil-A Appreciation Day, the faggies will be facing High Noon. It will be the highwater mark of the entire `gay rights’ movement (motto: “We nonnegotiably demand special rights and recognition just because of the way in which we have sex!!”)
They can’t have it both ways, being aggrieved victims and empowered militants at the same time, but that’s what faggies want.
But no matter what happens, get it all on video and post it viral. If the faggies attack with body fluids, get it on video. If they assault straight people while screaming “f***ing breeders!!!”, get it on video. This will be one instance proven in spades that sunshine is the ultimate disinfectant.

Chick-Fil-A’s head guy didn’t even mention the word gay. He was supporting traditional marriage and critical of divorce. His message was to heterosexuals. Once again the leftstream media created a controversy However gay rights supporters revealed their intolerance of the 1st amendment.
People have to understand that they WANT the church goers there to be offended so they can ‘mock the intolerance’.
So....you use the intolerance of the homos against them.
The event is purpose built to get christians quoting bible verse so that they can spin it all and twist it as ‘hate’. Deprive them of that and show graphic proof of their violent nature. Basic Sun Tzu stuff. Strike where they are weak. And they are weakest to mockery. All the Daily Show fans will laugh at a gay joke just as quick as a christian joke. They know that. And the MSM has gone full tilt to avoid any depiction of homos as anything other than Einsteins with Supermen bodies curing the sick and helping the blind to see.

I didn’t see the specific day mentioned in the article, but I will be buying lunch at Chick-Fil-A on August 1st, wearing a USMC baseball cap, Maranatha t-shirt and “Soldier of Christ” dogtag and cross pendant.
I think some form of secession is probably more viable than full blown civil war; however, once the line, literally, is drawn, some kind of armed conflict will probably be unavoidable.
