No. Romney told them this: "You guys pushed yourself, drove yourself, sacrificed, trained and competed time and again at winning and losing.” then also praised their families, coaches and communities for helping them. Obama never praised the business owner - he took their success away from them and gave it to others.

Since my tax money has helped builds roads, bridges, schools, gyms, swimming pools, etc., I demand a share of all the ill-gotten gains athletes and entertainers have accumulated for the last forty years using the infrastructure and facilities my tax money was spent on. Ten million simoleons should satisfy me.

Will we ever know the full list of people who contributed to Obama’s “success”?

Watching the video of Obama's Roanoke remarks, there can be little doubt that, sans teleprompter, he unintentionally revealed his disdain for individuals who achieve success,

My guess is that part of that disdain is his certain knowledge that he is himself undeserving of his station.

I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so fast. There are a lot of fast people out there. It must be because I trained harder than everybody else. Let me tell you somethin’ (sic) — there are a whole bunch of people trainin’ out there. ..”

Ok, we’re getting carried away with this. People here actually believe Lochte could have gotten where he is now with no help whatsoever? No coach,,,no trainers? Good grief. Listen to top notch athletes and they will credit their trainers,,,batting coaches, quarterback coaches, whatever, for helping them get where they are.

Last night, in the gymnastics competition, the commentator noted that the top British gymnast had a tattoo on his back, just the edge of it visible outside his uniform.

The tattoo said, “I win what I earn”, or something to that effect.

According to Procter & Gamble, their moms did it for them.

As far as I can tell from the P&G ads, none of these athletes have supportive fathers.

What I deserve, I earn: Golden boy Louis Smith hopes hard work will lead to Olympic glory

Gymnast Louis Smith beat the odds in Beijing. Now he’s looking to go one step better at London 2012, writes Darren Lewis

Louis Smith’s inspiration is tattooed across his back.

The message: ‘What I deserve I earn’ has fired him from obscurity to becoming the poster boy for Team GB’s Olympic gymnastic team.

The 22-year-old, also a two-time European silver medallist and Commonwealth Games champion, says: “I had the tattoo done when I was 18. It was a year before the Olympics and I’d just won the World Championship bronze...

Ok, we’re getting carried away with this.

I'm for anything that can be used against the Traitor-in-Chief in Washington.

Of course they earn what they win. But to think they do it in a complete vacuum is crazy.

"Isn't that what Romney told the athletes in Salt Lake City?"

"Children all around the world are dreaming. Dreaming of daring performances, cheering friends, and proud parents. They affirmed that our aspirations and those of our children and grandchildren can become reality. We salute you Olympians, both because you dreamed, and because you paid the price to make your dreams real. You guys pushed yourself, drove yourself, sacrificed, trained, and competed time and again, winning and losing. You Olympians, however, know that you didn't get here solely on your own power. For most of you, loving parents, sisters or brothers encouraged your hopes. Coaches guided, communities built venues and organized competitions. All Olympians, stand on the shoulders of those who lifted them. We've already cheered the Olympians, let's cheer the parents, coaches, and communities." -- Mitt Romney, Opening Remarks at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics

What people?

You are falling for the typical Obama Straw Man.

Where do you see anyone claiming these athletes haven’t benefited from parents, coaches, etc....
