WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton will have a marquee role in this summer's Democratic National Convention, where he will make a forceful case for President Barack Obama's re-election and his economic vision for the country, several Obama campaign and Democratic party officials said Sunday.
The move gives the Obama campaign an opportunity to take advantage of the former president's immense popularity and remind voters that a Democrat was in the White House the last time the American economy was thriving.

Clinton should speak at the RNC convention and say give-me-a-break. Obama is the biggest fairy tale he has ever seen.

Would he be doing this on Wednesday, where the NFL moved opening night (Cowboys at Giants) to in order to accommodate Barry on Thursday night? If so, who in the world will be watching?

The economy really didn’t go South until the DEMs got control of Congress. Bush was only in office a couple yrs. O bummer has been in 4 years and he is still blaming Bush.
Well that makes two channels I won’t be watching. Maybe Criminal Minds, Leverage or Flashpoint will have a show on I haven’t seen.

4.7% unemployment, 14,000 Dow, Home values at highest levels. That was in 2006. Pretty thriving.
Of course it's a lie but the "objective" journalists at the AP and their elite fact checkers won't touch it.

That's not true, of course...it was thriving quite well during most of the George W. Bush's term (prior to the Democrats taking control in 2007 of Congress).
However, even if this were true "that a Democrat was in the White House the last time the American economy was thriving" that is certainly not the case this time around. One of the signature achievements during Clinton's term was his decision to finally sign into law welfare reform, which Obama has just gutted.
This gives me all the more reason to believe Hillary will be veep.
