"US Fouls Up Again On Prime Minister's Name"
Chunichi Shimbun Newspapers (original in Japanese ^ | 27 July 2012 | AmericanInTokyo

For those who have been following this, the Japanese press is filled with snippets, chortling and stories and about the keystone-cop-ish US White House (specifically the National Security Council under Tom Donilon) and the White House website, which mistakenly listed the first name of Japan's Prime Minister (the third largest economy in the world you recall) as a common Japanese "female first name", "Yoshiko" (sic), and now the Chunichi Shimbun News off a Kyodo News Agency story (which is the blue ribbon equivalent of AP), has run an article saying "White House Again Errs on Japan's Prime Minister." The story has also carried in the Nikkei Shimbun, the major Japanese economic journal read coast to coast by millions, and other news outlets as well.

Link is here made to the original Japanese article, and text is provided below. This was highlighted on Japanese NNN Network TV news and other networks as well, and got considerable ink--perhaps only in Japan though. Heaven forbid the unwashed masses in the US learn from their own MSM about their most incompetent foreign policy and national security officials in charge of international policy run out of the Obama White House. To those who have been following this drama over the weekend, this would have been as ludicrous if the Japanese Foreign Ministry or British Foreign Ministry, reported on a courtesy call to "Barbara" Obama (sic), or that "Secretary of State Obama" (sic) had visited Tokyo, by a high ranking Japanese or British diplomatic official with specific regional responsiblities for North America and who should certainly know better.

"Washington, D.C. (Kyodo News)

The US White House announced on July 26th the Japan visit of its National Security Advisor Mr. Thomas Donilon. However they made the mistake of calling the Japanese Prime Minister "Yoshiko" (female name) Noda.

This follows on the heels of Assistant Secretary of State for Asian Affairs Kurt Campbell having to apologize to Japan just this last October on the occasion of the official state visit by Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda to Washington, D.C., because he referred to him as "Foreign Minister Noda" rather than "Prime Minister Noda". The Foreign Minister of Japan is Mr. Koichi Gemba, But they mixed up the two."

You have to go back to the Carter Administration to find this kind of incompetence. While visiting Mexico Carter told a stunned audience that he had contracted “Montezuma’s revenge.” On a trip to Poland Carter's inept translator told a crowd that Carter had left the U.S. for good and that Carter had “great lust” for the Polish people.

Yes I remember those. Ford screwed up in the debates, though, in 1976, when he said “I dont believe the Poles believe they they are dominated by the Soviet Union”. Just about passed out on that. Ronald Reagan were he rightfully the nominee would never, ever have said such a foolish thing. But this currrent crop in there under the Messiah, geez, I mean, gimme a break.

HA!!!

I was chuckling over this with my friends yesterday. They think “Yoshiko” is going to stick as Noda’s new nickname. But it won’t be aimed at him — Obama will be the butt of the jokes.

At least Obama and Hilary have “reset” our relationships with the rest of the world. How did we ever get along under Bush?

Maybe we should refer to Obama as Barbara Obama. lol

Actually, it could make sense. After all, Alvin Onaka did refuse to verify that Barack Hussein Obama II was born a male (along with refusing to verify every other birth fact he was specifically asked to verify on the form AZ SOS Ken Bennett submitted...)

When Bush invaded Iraq Iran announced they were halting their nuclear weapons program fearing they would be next. Libya not only ended their WMD programs but reopened their oil fields to U.S. drillers. There’s no telling what could have been achieved with Gulf War II had not the Democrats and news media turned into an effective Fifth Column.

The guy should be allowed to rise higher than a local community organizer. He ran into a job way above his paygrade. Reminds me of Roh Moohyun, an abominable incompetent.
