It appears many are surprised that liberal politicians are looking for ways to ban the restaurant chain “Chick fil A” from opening their businesses as a result of the CEO Dan Cathy’s personal stance on traditional marriage. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Boston Mayor Tom Menino, and now San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee have already said that Chick fil A was not welcomed in their cities.

However, this is not the first time such an instance has happened to a private business owner, professional, or private property owner since the legalization of same sex marriage. In June of 2008 National Public Radio documented a number of cases when controversies arose:

Don’t use Amazon, the owners just gave 2.5M towards same sex marriage. Don’t help support it.

Just got three CF coupons in the mail today. So they are fighting back with marketing. I will use them. I go once a week for my fried chicken fix. My wife won’t let me fry chicken at home..she thinks it is too much fat. She tries to look out for me, but you can’t keep a guy down.

Mayor Daley must be just spinning in his grave.. This isn’t anywhere close to his Democrackpot party..

I grew up within a block of Mayor Daley, and knew his attitude toward “Queers”, as he referred to them often, in open meetings at his 11th Ward office.. That was when closeted Gays, could have held their diversity meetings in a phone booth..

I remembered one of the reasons the subject came up was that someone suspected that his son (Richard, who later became Mayor) was caught driving drunk in the “Queer” area of town, and he stressed that he was reassuring the constituents that his boy wasn’t a “Queer”!

It was only a coincidence, since the boy was caught drunk in the “Little Italy” neighborhood earlier that month, and nobody accused him of being Italian.. LOL

Was planning on going to chick-Fil-A yesterday, but the drive thru line was around the building and into the street. :-)

I will go earlier today
