BROOKFIELD -- The four Republicans running for the 5th Congressional District nomination tried to define themselves at a debate here Monday while standing for much of the same thing.
Speaking at Brookfield High School, the four -- Justin Bernier of Plainville, Mark Greenberg of Litchfield, state Sen. Andrew Roraback of Goshen and Lisa Wilson-Foley of Simsbury -- agreed in the main about almost all the basic tenets of the Republican Party.
They face a primary Aug. 14.

Bernier was strong, but came off as too negative/political often attacking his opponents.
Foley was regurgitating stump slogans and is not a polished/convincing public speaker. She's evidently a good businesswoman, so why go to Mordor?
Greenberg's a successful businessman and a regular guy: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. He stayed positive and came off the winner (IMHO).
And don't forget: Time with Obama on 8/6/12: $38,500 in Westport, $500 in Stamford
Roraback won.
Greenberg, the real conservative, came in second.
And it's not like he was for these issues years ago and has had a change of heart, these are his positions now as stated during the primary here.
Pass.
