Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. As an American of Polish descent, it touched me deeply, so much so that I could not finish the text as tears fill my eyes. But it should touch all freedom loving people to much that same degree. This speech reminds us what the concept of the “West” was not so very long ago and how much damage has been done to that idea by the twin scourges of collectivism and secularism. I hope that Mr. Romney is the vessel through which this damage is repaired, and if he is as good at choosing staff as he is a speech writer in this case, there is reason for hope.
Everyone interested in the kind of President Romney might make should go to the site and read the full text of his speech in Poland.
The last time I had the same reaction to someone speaking was about 23-24 years ago when I first hear Rush Limbaugh on the radio taking on the Left. It seemed so out of place, and so right. Out of place because no one else was saying what he was saying publicly, and so right because it was the truth.
Now, today, Romney’s speech brings back those same feelings. He said what needed saying, did it eloquently, and it was, and is, the truth.
