K Street Republicans’ war on Palin
The Hill ^

Im getting sick of the rewriting of 2008 presidential campaign history as K Street Republicans continue to assault Sarah Palin in the fear that a similarly conservative Republican will rise to the top of the VP sweepstakes.
It has been so fashionable in D.C. Republican circles to bash the Palin nomination as a mistake, ill-conceived or even disastrous, that even Dick Chaney has gotten into the act.
These self-serving attempts to change history are nothing more than a smear campaign designed to influence the Romney VP pick by obscuring the truth that the choice of Sarah Palin to be the vice presidential nominee was truly inspired.
The McCain campaign was in the doldrums. Unable to match the youth and enthusiasm of the inexperienced but expert campaigner from Illinois, McCain needed to shake up the race, and Palin accomplished just that.
[....]
Now, four years later, those very architects and apologists of too big to fail policies desperately seek to dissuade presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney from making a similarly bold conservative choice for vice president.
Lets hope Romney remembers history, because if he does, he will know that the choice of Palin was one of the few things the McCain campaign got right. It was McCains and President Bushs abandonment of limited-government, free-market principles that were the ultimate culprit in bringing us four years of Obama not Sarah Palin.

Hold your judgement. Tell me that wouldn’t be one hell of a great surprise to bring Mrs. Palin in to thunderous apporval with no notice??

This is why I’m reserving my votes exclusively for bona fide Tea Party candidates. I’m no longer voting for any old Republican candidate unless I’m 100% certain they are Tea Party. The actions of the GOP-e and their ruling-class leadership have proven (especially by their treatment of Palin, but also other Constitutional conservative voices) that they hold me and my views in abject contempt.

I personally think this is a good thing. The more they war against Palin, the closer we get to a VIABLE third party that will end their elite rule once and for all.
To: Bigtigermike
A Palin/West or West/Palin ticket under a new party “Constitution?” would have devastated both of the current criminal enterprises. They would have needed to start right after the 2008 loss. A groundswell like a volcano if the communication and message was there. I would donate 10 times more then I ever have. My guess is 10 billion dollars would have flowed into that campaign.
To: The Cajun
I have been wondering if THAT is what they fear, thus causing a resurgence of the Palin bashing.

Something else that I think has the Vichy Republicans agitated is that the 2010 tea party class are going to lose the freshman status and will become a lot harder to control.

They are very afraid of Governor Palin accumulating political capital. At this rate (if Texas goes Cruz) even if Rommey wins the presidency, Palin will own the undercard and will be the de facto leader of the party.

I believe with everything in my being that it is a concerted effort to stop Palin or any other Conservative candidate from screwing up the gop/e choice for 2016 or 2020... whether mitt wins or not... jeb bush. He perfectly fits their progressive one world order socialism and the gop/e are orgasmic for him to run.

Gracious of you. Thanks.
Along with the presidential election there is a battle for the soul of the Republican Party. If we don't win that one, it really matters little who wins the presidency.

Well, don’t care who it pisses off. If Romney excludes her from the convention, no vote from me. Because if Sarah isn’t welcome, that means i wouldn’t be either.
That just means that jimrob was right about Mitt, and that the GOPe is who actually needs to be defeated.
It’s time to end 25 years of the Bush wing running things.
