Gov. John Hickenlooper: James Holmes Would Have Created ‘Horror’ Without Guns
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper suggested this morning on This Week that even if Aurora shooting suspect James Holmes did not have access to guns, he would have found a way to create horror. This wasnt a Colorado problem. This is a human problem, Hickenlooper said.
So who’s the LUCKY GUY that snagged him?
Come on, we can’t take the suspense. When’s the BIG DAY!!?!
But I do have to warn him about Lakewood, Colorado - there seems to be a bakery that doesn’t like his type.
Intrade anyone?
Hickenlooper comes out of the closet, or Thorpe declares her love for cabinetry?
I’m saying Thorpe.
“Hickenlooper comes out of the closet?”
Beat ya by ONE SECOND!!
Remember, Holmes was a Californicate import. When Colorado, in particular Denver and suburbs, started enticing the Cal rats to come to Colorado, the state started going down hill. Cal rats cannot forget their pasts and drag it along with them .... in Californicate they were liberal high tax, high spend, enviro-wackos and when they arrived in Colorado, they brought the disease with them.
I’m familiar with him but I thought he was a goofy bastard when I heard him speak, at the press conference, immediately following the massacre. I’ve never been to Colorado but I get the impression that it’s every bit as lunatic, left-wing as California. Am I wrong?
No party cited in story = Democrat.
I meant to say that I was not familiar with him. I guess first impressions are everything!
Yeah...but...
My post implies that he DROVE Thorpe to cabinetry! That’s the usual background of the “we are staying friends” statement.
Good observation. I’ve never understood the “close friends” with the ex-spouse line, either. Maybe it’s code for “Not going to shoot him/her myself, although it’s okay if someone else does.”
Yes. He is basically a pro-business Democrat and has avoided some of the crazy stuff his base wants to do. That said, he wouldn't have been elected in 2010 IMHO had the Republican party not imploded by nominating a guy who turned out to be a complete loon.
And...
She is an “artiste” in the writing world... Bad ju-ju!
How did this guy get elected? I watched him during the Aurora pressers and the guy can barely string two words together. Very inarticulate.
Too bad they are splitting up.
They deserve each other.

He really was bad—particularly when contrasted with the VERY competent chief of police.
The whole thing is so tragic. Aurora pulled off a real coup by stealing the CU Hospital and medical school away from Denver and then luring Children's' Hospital and the VA hospital out to the new Anschutz Medical Campus, a beautiful area. Had Holmes not been admitted to CU and had Aurora not gotten the Anschutz facility he never would have been in Aurora.
