If I can I will.
Chik-fil-A has both fine products and great restaurants with friendly personnel.
We don’t have a Chik Fil A near us so I purchased about $300 in items from their store...I intend on giving most of them away at church this Sunday.

Stopping in for a breakfast burrito and a coffee fill up with my Chick-fil-A mug that is unlimited refills. Mrs SLB is taking our grandson there for lunch this noon and then we plan on a chicken sandwich for dinner this evening.
Found this recent press release on their site:
Jul. 31, 2012 Chick-fil-A Statement
Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and family-led company serving the communities in which it operates. From the day Truett Cathy started the company, he began applying biblically-based principles to managing his business.
Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and family-led company serving the communities in which it operates. From the day Truett Cathy started the company, he began applying biblically-based principles to managing his business. For example, we believe that closing on Sundays, operating debt-free and devoting a percentage of our profits back to our communities are what make us a stronger company and Chick-fil-A family.
The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender. We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 Restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.
Our mission is simple: to serve great food, provide genuine hospitality and have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.
Sounds like a good idea. Godspeed.
Every year CFA has a “cow” calendar. Each month has a coupon for a free item. They make great Christmas gifts.
I will be purchasing Chik -FIL-A Breakfast sandwiches for all of my Co-Workers!
WOO HOO!
Enjoyed the food much, yesterday at Chic-Fil-A. It was actually the first time I had eaten there. The crowds were great and growing.
Amen & Amen!
I stand with Chic Fil A: Like the Apostle Paul said: “Follow me as I follow Christ!” We would follow Chic Fil A!
May we as a people never forget:
1. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” (Psalm 9:17)
2. Blessed is the Nation whose God is the LORD.....”(Psalm 33:12a)
3.Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:24)
4. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged, and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.” Proverbs 16:6)
5. The Holy Scriptures refers to: “The Lord said unto my LORD sit thou at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.” (Psalm 110:1; Matthew 22:44; Hebrews 1:13)
6. “......there is none other name under heaven given among men......” (Acts 4:12b)
7. “Wherefore God hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above which is above every name:.....”(Philippians 2:9)
Planned. Lunch for 3.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Will be stopping in for dinner this evening for a Chicken sandwich.
Too bad liberals discriminate based on creed... Then again, they’re the haters...
I will also be purchasing the same dinner for my wife.
Gonna drive the 65 miles to take the family there for lunch.
Can someone please explain this to me? While I certainly won’t be deterred from eating at a Chik-fil-a over their recent comments, how does going out of your way to visit one of their stores help?
I could understand that if you were going to eat out anyway, and had a choice, that would be a reason to go. But how exactly does this help ‘Christian values?’
These stores are franchises. Conceivably, you could be ordering from someone who has values that are contrary to yours but owns the store because it was a good business decision.
Chik-fil-a isn’t, and will not be, affected by this recent dust-up. People who eat there already are familiar with their background story for the most part. A store that is closed Sunday should be a pretty obvious clue.
If you really want to make a difference, volunteer at campaign offices and get people out to vote come Election Day. THAT is where your values are defended.
I wish you all luck getting in. I stopped by CFA for a late lunch yesterday (2:00pm), and the place was packed! Mark
Their shakes are excellent, especially the mint one they serve during the Christmas season.
Nope, each franchisee is carefully screened and selected, groomed and scrutinized. The process takes years.
As one who who is on the Christian Ed committee and helps oversee Sunday School, I purchased about 40 gift cards as teacher appreciation gifts for Sunday School teachers for our upcoming Promotion Sunday. I actually went yesterday because I didn’t want to hold up the line. :)
Neutralizes the leftist boycott if you go today and keep it up. If you go August 3rd, you can get into counter demonstrations against the planned "kiss in."
” how does going out of your way to visit one of their stores help?”
OK, spinboy, I’ll try to explain.
People are making a statement today in support of decency and integrity. Every extra chicken sandwich sold by CFA today tells the tinhorn politicians and the liberal fascist bullies that their attempts to inflict financial pain on businesses that do not promote their agenda will not only fail, but will have exactly the opposite effect.
God bless those who ARE “going out of their way” today!
BTW, spinboy, participating today in no way precludes one from also volunteering and helping to get out the vote in November, as your post seems to suggest.
Buying a franchise in any chain is not just a matter of plunking down your money and opening up a store. The franchisee is vetted by the franchiser to see that they have a solid business plan, neccessary business experience and are in line with the corporate vision and goals before they ever sign a contract. I’m sure Chik-fil-a has ways of vetting to assure them that those who buy in support the founders moral, ethical and spiritual goals.
I wish I could join in by eating at Chick-fil-A on August 1st, but unfortunately there aren’t any Chick-fil-A restaurants in the state of Oregon.
We’re having Chik-Fil-A for breakfast, lunch and dinner today.
I’ve heard that those summer peach milkshakes are awesome.
I have ate there before and remember that the meal was awful. What is good on their menu? I plan on going to CFA today in support and so is my wife at her lunch hour. I may even go again Friday and upset some homos.
The closest one to me is 90+ miles away so I ordered a couple of cups off their website and left a supportive message on the order form.
If you cannot get to a local store please show your support via their online store and let them know why you are placing an order.
I agree- there are many things to order online- I plan on getting one of Mr. Cathy’s books to show my support since the only one in NY is on the NYU campus and I don’t think non students can get in (?)
Drove by the one on the way to work with plans of stopping. From the looks, I couldn’t have gotten in the parking lot. I figure I will go tomorrow. They could still use our support then, too.
I’m a Jew but I will be a Chik Fil A today.
8 count nugget.
Sandwich
Large sweet tea
Mmmmm
Had dinner at Chic-fil-A yesterday. May stop in today if it isn’t too crowded. I’m making it a point to visit more often now. I support entities with a backbone!
Yes — I am wearing the t-shirt I bought a few days ago at Kholes for $10.00 that declares Chick-fil-A (money well spent)
Yes— I signed the petition thanking Mr.Cathy and Chick -fil-A Yes My wife ( the woman who married me in answer to my prayers back in 1983 ,who bore our three adult children, who loves me in spite of myself) My wife and I intend to eat mor chikin when she gets off work. Yes— I know it is NOT about Chick-fil A —but the Media and political hype stirred up by the enemy. Yes I have written ,and documented from sources—WHY I cannot agree with the Reprobate Mayors of Boston,Chicago, San Francisco ,and Washington D.C. The Sacred Writ concerning “marriage” and “a man and his wife”;
and what is said of the men of Sodom, and of being made to be like Sodom and like unto Gomorrah. And our nations founding
principles of Religion,Morality ,and Knowledge ... all rejected and distorted by the other side of this nation divided against itself. If we cant defend “marriage” as it was defined by the States prior to the unlawful acts in Mass.(back when No State recognized same sex marriage) then how can we defend the USA and our laws, and our way of life?
I get the impression that although Mr Cathy will appreciate everyone visiting one of his restaurants, his primary hope is that everyone would also visit one of Gods houses too. He sounds like the real deal and he’s not afraid to walk the walk. Bless him.
Went thru the drive thru for a breakfast sandwich at 6 am this morning at my local Chickfila in Fairfax VA. Had never been for breakfast but specifically looked what time it opened so as to go today since i won’t have another chance. Everyone in my family is going there today at least once.
Had ‘Chic-Fil-A’ last night and plan on having it again tonight.
Come on everyone, this is something we can all get behind in the days and weeks to come.
Tastes good too!
Hey, I’ll buy one for you this evening here in Texas. Promise
Heading there right after finishing FR. Ordering a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. Not in their menu here, but they make it for me when I ask. (ask for it at your CFA). If you get one you won’t need a thing else until supper...a great meal. And today it will taste especially good...I hope I have to stand in a long line!
My daughter has been using up a bunch of gas driving to her summer job at Chick-fil-A (20 minutes away). So I needed to get gas this morning & decided to hit CFA first thing.
This was my first CFA breakfast. Spicy chicken and biscuit w/ hash browns. Excellent biscuit & the juicy, spicy chicken was almost to hot to eat right away. Kinda wish I had bought 2 sandwiches.
My wife & I are planning to go there for lunch around 1pm.
Eggs is chickin too! Eat more chickin!
I’m taking my boys for lunch there today!
Yes, it's a small gesture. But as General Nathan Bedford Forrest once said, "Get 'em skeered and then keep up the skeer." Most often the battle turns on a myriad of small actions rather than a decisive move. And it's not an "either/or" proposition. Just because we fight the little battle today doesn't mean we won't fight the big one tomorrow.
“We dont have a Chik Fil A near us so I purchased...”
Same here. We ate at a Chick-Fil-A last May while visiting Easly S.C. and it was great. Since I’m home and not a CFA nearer than 80 miles, ordered stuff like you did...
Frankly, I’d rather eat there again.
I’m going and buying shakes for the office.
We’ll be eating there tonight...
I wouldn’t be suprised if Chik-Fil-A posts their receipts from today and it shows an increase of X%.
The libs heads will explode. What will make it even worse for politicians is knowing the same people that increased Chik’s sales could also boycott something.
Imagine what would happen if people started boycotting McDonalds. That would result in thousands of jobs lost, plus they could blame the Obama’s because of Moochell’s policies about fast food.
I’ll be headed to the range today and will be stopping by CFA on my way. Nice, guns and CFA in one day!
I’m going to stop by today; if I’m not hungry, I’ll buy a gift card. I’ve also reminded family and friends to do so.
