Romney's Apology Tour (and embracing our allies)
The American Thinker ^ | August 1, 2012 | Pamela Geller

Mitt Romney's recent triumphal tour of Britain, Israel, and Poland struck me as a much-needed and most welcome apology tour for Barack Obama's abject abandonment and humiliation of our most loyal and trusted allies. Finally, here is an apology tour that Americans can get behind. It was a triumph. The enemedia says otherwise, of course.

Mitt Romney began the long overdue, overwhelming task of beginning to rebuild allied relationships with longtime friends who were abandoned and betrayed by a reckless, feckless, subversive president.

Well done in Poland and Israel, but not quite a victory in the UK.

I guess that depends on how you look at the fact that he told the truth. What’s that old saying? You can’t handle the truth. Not meaning you, of course, but, those who depend upon PC.

Looks like a complete disaster. Particularly when compared to Obama and Hilary’s resetting of our international relations. Look at Russia and the Arab Spring for examples.

It was a perfect victory in England. He took fire because he was right, plus it was from squishy British liberals. Later the press proved Romney correct.

What went wrong?

Oh goodness....A future liberal President. Oh goodie. We are doomed. I think posting those liberals is tragic and not necessary on a conservative site.

You know, I wasn’t very impressed with Romney’s Boston Team, but I must say they’ve hit their stride. It’s like watching a perfect marketing plan roll out.

They’ve got Obama in a spin. Romney looks Presidential. The photo ops and risks he’s taken have paid off handsomely. The MSM is hard-pressed to call him amateur and he’s built foreign policy cred nearly effortlessly.

Romney wants to win and badly. He’s not pulling punches a la McCain. I am curious to see his VP pick - it will tell us a lot about what worries his campaign and what advantages they feel they need.

All this work means nothing though without 270 EC votes.

I’m happy that SOMEBODY is going overseas to apologize for Obama.

It was needlessly undiplomatic on a tour that was entirely designed to show that he would be more supportively diplomatic toward our strongest allies, and it gave the media more ammunition than it needed to cast his trip as a ‘gaffe tour’.

There was nothing good or positive about it.

Yeah - it's always a bad thing to let our allies and friends know that someone cares for their welfare and continued existence...

It was the right thing to do.

It was the “God Bless America” American thing to do.

We STAND with our allies (and we KNOW WHO is and who isn’t in that camp).

On any given day there's greater enthusiasm for a used diaper.

You listen to too much NPR. That he’ll be more diplomatically supportive of staunch allies like Poland and Israel is a plus. The media always portrays Republicans as imbeciles while covering up all the gaffes of liberals. Get out a little.

By the way your last name isn’t Krauthammer is it? Didn’t think so. Even that stopped clock gets it right:

Go back to my original post—I said he did well in two out of the three countries. But the honesty Mittbots used to explain his stupid comments in London somehow isn’t tolerated by them on FR.

You're dead wrong. There was a lot positive about it, almost the entire trip was positive. Romney called the UK Olympics correctly. They look like noobs.

Ann Romney is really photogenic. She’s a real threat to the Obamas and I now understand why Ann’s been under so many attacks from the MSM.

It is the same reason they attack Palin - no principled, attractive, mother can be a good person. They’re both seen as escapees from the plantation. Envy and jealousy coupled with liberal mania cause all these attacks.
