Still, it all pales in comparison to what BO's dictatorship has dumped on us in a mere 43 months or what he intends to dump on us in the next 4 years if reelected.
Every RINO administration, for all their faults, at least accepted the restraints imposed on them by congress. BO has not and will not.
If you've fallen overboard on a ship, will you refuse to latch on to a small piece of flotsam because you think a lifeboat may come along? Or will you latch on to what is immediately available to keep you afloat a little longer?
Thank you for the ping, and for keeping me informed. I don’t have much time to read the news, and I tend to miss some important things like this.
I do agree wholeheartedly with your disdain for open primaries.
.
This is not a “buy in” vote!
This election is about saving America FRom a Socialist death!
Let us work together to defeat Obama and elect conservative MCs and Senators.
Let us work together to take our Party and our Country back!
For it is for damn sure that if Obama and his LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist/Fascist posse are re-elected, THEY WILL DESTROY AMERICA!
Romney was not my first choice, either. But I can guarantee you that a Romney administration will be one or two orders of magnitude better than another Obama administration!
And, that is all we have, at this moment. We can purge our Party of RINOs, but first, we have to win the White House, hold the House and take the Senate.
So, LETS GITER DONE!
AMEN
BTTT.
Mary Ann Glendon is a good, conservative Catholic, whose support for the right to life is questionable. I see why she and the others are saying this—because Obama is so totally horrible.
Regretably, however, Mitt Romney has a pro-abortion record, too. I simply cannot vote for him. He is a gay marriage pioneer, and was also a pioneer in socialized, tax-payer funded abortion as a “health” issue.
I understand that these guys are desperate to do something about Obama’s hateful attacks on everything the Catholic Church stands for. But I CANNOT vote for Romney, another baby killer.
That’s how we got here—50 or 60 years of criminal Democrats, and complicit establishment Republicans, who failed to roll back any of their evil schemes.
I hope you’re not seriously holding that up inside. You didn’t get Bill Clinton re-elected. I voted for Bob Dole and it was the most vile vote I ever cast. That was the year the Republican party called Pat Buchanan the next Hitler after he won New Hampshire. It gripes me no end that I rewarded him and the party for their actions that year. That was the year that it finally hit me like a ton of bricks how much like the Democrats they were.
I swore never to do it again. In 2004, I folded. Never again.
I appreciate the comments. I agree with part of what you’re saying just like you agree with part of what I’m saying.
What if there was a nice boat a quarter of a mile away, and if you grabbed that piece of drift-wood, it would cause them to go looking for others. Would you grab it then?
I like your model, but I’d tweak it a bit.
Thanks Irish Eyes. I appreciate it.
As I said to someone else, I did exactly what you are suggesting for many years. The promise was always, they’ll save us now and we’ll get a good guy next time. With the exception of Ronald Reagan, that next time never came. And it hasn’t come since.
Life is short. I’ll probably be voting another two to five times. If people don’t care any more about their future than to nominate people like McCain and Romney, then why should I?
Thank you Presently No Screen Name. I appreciate it.
Republicans vs. Democrats: Maybe A Dime's Worth Of Difference
~ Larry Elder, "The Ten Things You Can't Say In America"
Only if you think, similarly, Nixon was responsible for legalized abortion - but no.
The people of Massachusetts, the MA Supreme Court and Legislature were for same sex marriage, Mitt was against it. He fought well and lost.

Other than that, yeah, I know what you're saying. But the way I see it is this: Thug #1 is tighrtening his grip on my throat. Thug #2 --- possibly a member of the same gang --- bursts through the door with some grievance against Thug #1. I'm thinking, "Yes! Thug #2! Hit 'im!"
Not because I trust the newcomer. ("Put not thy trust in princes...") But because at this instant, it's the only possible thing that could get #1 off of me even for a moment, and give me one more breath.
And consider this: Romney will "sometimes" defer to Congress. Sometimes. Obama never will. Obama is the more reliably lawless one.
On the other hand.... hmm. Maybe the less-disastrous thing might be a supermajority GOP House and Senate, and Obama in the White House. Because a GOP majority will "sometimes" block the plans of a socialist Dem president. They won't block a socialist GOP president's agenda.
