Free contraception for women provision of Obama health care law starts today

(CBS News) Beginning today, up to 47 million women may be eligible to get free access to preventive health care services as that provision of President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act goes into effect.

Under the new provision that goes into effect August 1, 2012, women will be eligible to receive the following eight services without paying a co-pay: Well-woman visits, Contraception and contraceptive counseling, Gestational diabetes screening, HPV DNA testing, Annual sexually transmitted infections (STI) counseling, HIV screening and counseling, Breastfeeding support, supplies, and counseling, and Interpersonal and domestic violence screening and counseling.

"Contraception provision"???? Covers a lot more than that.. FOR WOMEN ONLY, of course. Men are less gullible and more capable of revolt so we hope they'd all just die from prostate cancer so the more easily controlled females thrive to live their lives as gubmint sheep. All women means less or no resistance to any and all orders handed down by the SS.

The 'U.S. Preventive Services Task Force' has ruled that prostate screening is a waste of money. Sorry guys! It's da womenz vote dat we needs and they'll do WHATEVER WE ORDER THEM TO DO just so long as we promise not to hurt their kids!

That is especially true if the person gets a subsidized health insurance.

But if not, what this REALLY is, is government forcing women to pay for treatment whether they need it or not.

Because suppose you had insurance, and the ONLY thing it covered was contraceptives. Now, you don’t have to “pay” for contraceptives. That means that the insurance company will charge you a yearly fee equal to the yearly cost for contraceptives. So, you essentially pay up front for the drugs, and then you go pick them up monthly, and then the insurance company takes the money you paid and distributes it. Well they collect extra for overhead.

Before, since you had a co-pay, they reasonably would expect that only a percentage of women would use the service, plus those using the service would be paying a percentage based on how much they use the service. If it’s free, they have to assume everybody will use it, and since nobody pays anything it all has to come from the premiums.

It is why insurance companies will sometimes provide free annual checkups. They aren’t free, the cost is built into your premium. THe idea is they FORCE you to pay for an annual physical, and since you are paying, you’ll feel compelled to actually DO the physical, which will save the insurance company money.

But the Obama administration has the media helping sell this lie that people are being given free stuff, rather than the truth that they are being forced to pay for things they never wanted.

All the free IRS kick in just before the elections but all of the massive costs we must pay in to ObamaCare don't kick in until just after the election.

I guess we are going to find out in November if Obama and the Democrats have pushed so hard and fast to ram their agenda down the throats of Americans that they have finally over estimated the stupidity of at least 51% of the American people
