Not a word about today’s activities has been whispered on Chick-fil-A’s feed even though CFA has been trending on Twitter off and on all day. As noted in the earlier post, the suspicion is that the company’s lying low about what’s happening in order to extricate itself from the front line of the culture war, but I wonder if today’s outpouring will draw some sort of recognition tomorrow. If Dan Cathy’s willing to tout the numbers to Rick Warren, presumably an official acknowledgment and thank you is on the way.
There’s no shortage of local news stories out there about huge lines at the neighborhood CFA; if you’re curious, these two, from Iowa and Kentucky, are fairly representative. Meanwhile, I assume some sort of “Unappreciation Day” is in the works on the left, if only to respond to such an impressive show of strength, but I don’t know. Could be that, between this and the thuggish idiocy of Rahm and Mumbles Menino, they’re ready to cut their losses. Exit question: How big a political victory is this for Huckabee? Per this Fox News clip (via Mediaite), even he sounds surprised.

Every single one of those people is going to be at the polls in November.
What amazes me is that this was really a zeitgeist thing. I mean, OK I had heard about it and I now know Huckabee started it, or touted it...but still, it was pretty low key.
And yet the response seems to have been nationwide and pretty much overwhelming.
Between this and Ted Cruz winning....all in all a good couple of days for our side.
My thoughts exactly.
People, like any other physically existing thing, will break once their limits are exceeded. That’s not a threat to homos or anyone else. It’s a simple statement of fact.
They are at absolute best, 5% of the population with 20% support. In reality, 2% with perhaps 10% support.
98% of the population will not abandon everything they believe to have their disgust fed to them. The govt. can make all the laws they want. And the libs can foster all the media BS they want. The ONLY thing they will get for their trouble is people pushed to the breaking point. And when that happens (and it will at the rate this is going) the libs/homos will have the whirlwind to reap. And one of their own making.
At the point people stop caring what the MSM says, it’s over for them all. People will live and behave as they know is right, and 2% of the population will not stop them, guilt them or shame them. The shoe will pass to the other foot.
I was thinking about showing up Friday and kissing my dog.

Driving home from work tonight, I heard on the radio newscast that police were out directing traffic at several CFA locations and that there had been one arrest - some whackjob decided to park his car sideways in front of the drive-thru as a one man blockade. Wish I could have seen that!
This is exciting and all, but I still miss that week they were giving out free Spicy Chicken Sandwiches.
Yeah, if the head of another chain says tomorrow, “Well, we fully support gay marriage,” I won’t personally go back and that’ll be as far as I go. I won’t try to destroy his business. Libs don’t get that you can simply not go and not try to control everyone else.

The following is my opinion FWIW and I’m sure some will disagree...
While I strongly believe in the Christian God, Homosexuals and Liberals do not. Therefore to me, it’s pointless and unproductive to try using any faith based rationale, including morality (which is faith based) to deal with them. Quoting verse or simply appealing to their morality is no more effective than telling a christian how Odin oe Buddah feels about any subject.
In fact, they want us to use God based arguments in order to feed the ‘dumb religious sky daddy believer’ meme that’s all the rage with the hipster crowd.
IMO, it’s best to nail them with the secular reasons that homosexual anything is a bad thing. And there are millions of reasons and ways to do it.
Now lest someone think I’m against Christianity or Bible verse, or that it somehow embarrasses me, No. I just strongly believe that it’s useless to argue faith with the faithless. They consider themselves ‘educated’ and ‘people of rational thought’. Well, use that against them to show them just how wrong they are. It’s easy for them to default to their ‘sky daddy’ BS. It’s not so easy for them to duck the secular and ‘educated’ reasons and ‘rational’ argument. And the more they try, the stupider they look to the non-militant among them.
